Personally thought CDP was pretty average on Saturday. Luke Hamilton showed more in 30mins than CDP has ever shown in his handful of appearances at Test level. Don’t want to write him off just yet - he looked a real player before that awful fracture dislocation - but not sure he has ever been the same since.

Glad fewer injuries than first feared and makes sense to freshen up the team in a few positions whilst keeping the key men. Seymour has plenty of credit in the bank.

Agree with all of that, Townsend said that last week was the first time CDP had trained without pain since his ghastly injury.
Squad rotation, given the present casualty rate, makes sense..

Dunbar out. Horne to 12 and Burleigh on the bench. A bit worried that we have lost a real rock in defence, especially given the size of the Wallaby centres. But then Horne is handy in attack and has great distribution skills.

Yup. That changes the shape of everything. As much as I haven’t rated what he’s been doing in attack he is so, so key in defence. It makes me more glad we’ve got Wilson in the side though. He and Barclay will have a shitload of tackles to make in those big centres.

I really like Horne as a player but this makes me nervous. I was already worried about an Aussie backlash and now I can just see endless big runners coming down that 10/12 channel, our backrow not able to contest the breakdown as a result and no turnover ball that we seem to thrive on. I'm just not at all confident.

Also pretty annoyed at Burleigh being a Scottish international. He had a good spell when he first arrived at Edinburgh for for me he's not in even our top seven centres and he hasn't nailed down an Edinburgh place this season. I'd far rather have seen Harris.

Looks like Hogg has picked up an injury in warm ups. Hopefully not serious.

He looked pretty distraught. I’d say he’s pulled something. Fuck sake. Hope not.

Thinking about it. They should probably pull him any way. No point risking it at all.

In fairness we’ve managed it before without him... albeit not changing it 15 minutes before kick off.

We really do have no luck sometimes.

Does finn have low IQ or something?

If you don’t have the distance don’t attempt it ? This happens far too often.

Nobody wants him to stop taking risks in attack but you cannot miss touch this consistently.

Between him, price and Berghan we are being forced into all the wrong parts of the pitch.

Ha! Was just about to say that. He had to find touch there. That mistake lead to that Australian try. Finn having a shaky game with the boot from hand.

What the fuck has happened to Seymours form?? He’s looked really suspect this game, and most of last game.
