Both teams are guilty but I don't get how grabbing someone round the neck at a ruck is any better than at a tackle...

Yep. Had a giggle that after the whistle was blown Itoje emerges with an Aussie in a headlock and nothing is mentioned.

Daly is a better winger BECAUSE he's at his best reading the play and tracking inside, or coming off the shoulder of 10/12...
Isn't it easier to do both of those things from FB?
