The ST has a pic of Lawes with a very colourful shiner. - almost a closed eye - is t sensible to play with such? Looks seriously tender at the least.

Looking at the women's fixture, i'd be tempted to Hunter in 8 and captain.

Breaking news: In a reaction to the Irish side being given pep talk by Bono, rumour has it that Eddie’s been on the blower to Mr Tumble!

I’m as pi$$ed off with the needlessly stupid selections as anyone else and I’m not feeling overly optimistic about tomorrow’s game, but as it stands, we still have a chance of winning the tournament.

So far I think Ireland’s results have somewhat flattered them. They have a good record at home but they were poor against Scotland and lucky to win IMO. They were much better against Wales, but they’re nowhere near the dominant force they were in 2018. Let’s see how well they travel.
I said it was shot, but never said it was anything to do with the GS. Just the mess EJ has created with his selections and the dire performances. England need to park it and look to the future.

Ford is putting big runners into great spaces with his passing. Contrast that with the Irish pivots who are bringing nothing whatsoever to the attack.

It is also difficult to overstate just how poor Owen Farrell is with the ball in hand.

It's odd how many games this year have seen one team get their opponent's number early and grab huge leads. Typically the other team has come back into it, but I don't see that happening here. Sexton was outstanding against Wales - he looks crap today.

...that gave some impetus.
deserved score 17 - 5, Sexton seems to have forgotten how to kick.

If Sexton had brought his kicking boots, this would be a 7-point game. Then again, if my mother was my aunt..I forget how the expression goes, but your mother's a whore.
