Eng will look more direct and cohesive when JR & Ford get on.

I'd bring Johnny Wilkinson's woolly hat on in his placeOakboy wrote:To be fair he is up with the play some of the time so there is a marginal improvement. I'd still bring Hughes on in his place though.p/d wrote:As long as Shields stays on then we have every chance of taking the spoilsOakboy wrote:It's going to be interesting to see how early replacements are made and who they are. I really do not want to see Farrell at 12.

No. When Farrell makes an actually good pass, you should really be taking it.Which Tyler wrote:Slade... This match feels similar the Saffer one - probably his best in an England shirt, but I'm still not sure it amounts to "good"
Am I just judging him too harshly because I had such high hopes for him (and feel he's out of position)?

Re: Team for Australia
Why don't the refs say when the ball is out more often?
Far too often we see 9s drag the ball back with their feet and it looks clear of the ruck or tackle, but the ref says nothing? Call it out and allow some competition for it.

Re: Team for Australia
Well that WAS good by Farrell. Not sure how he got his arms through that to allow the offload, but he did.Stom wrote:No. When Farrell makes an actually good pass, you should really be taking it.Which Tyler wrote:Slade... Re: Team for Australia
Let's spend the next10 minutes talking about that offload from Farrell - otherwise we might be told off for talking about his missed tackle on Folau, and penalty-try&card offence

Re: Team for Australia
If only we had a saviour on the bench we could bring on to galvanise the whole team, and eliminate the error count.
It can't be Hartley, as it couldn't have been him last week either...

Re: Team for Australia
It was a decent offload, and has been acknowledged as being just that by plenty of Farrell detractors (like myself), but still no mention of the mistakes.Which Tyler wrote:Let's spend the next10 minutes talking about that offload from Farrell - otherwise we might be told off for talking about his missed tackle on Folau, and penalty-try&card offence
Also, as offloads go, it was on par with Ford's last week

Blimey. We got lucky there. No cohesion, no shape, plenty of mistakes and then the big man lands a knockout blow with his pelvis.
