Check out that sweet Italian lineout.
We have got a decent crop of flankers ourselves and at the time he opted for Italy, many were saying it wasn't a big deal. But I'd like to have had him.francoisfou wrote:Polledri is a hell of a player? Why tf did he choose to play for Italy when Eddie could have come calling?

Yes they did well to pull themselves together after an awful first 20 mins (though suspect France dropped off a bit and are being hairdryered as we speak by Edwards), and frankly put our carrying effort last week to shame. Backrow were individually very good.p/d wrote:Marvellous good to see Italy putting some nice passages of play together.

Not necessarily a bad thing- he's skilful. Ben was still struggling to control the ball.p/d wrote:He would have played at 8 yesterdayBanquo wrote:We have got a decent crop of flankers ourselves and at the time he opted for Italy, many were saying it wasn't a big deal. He was part of an Italian team today who didn't support their phase playBanquo wrote:Specifically what do you mean?Digby wrote:England don't need a backrow player who doesn't support continuity. We might pick a few, but we don't need them
So given he was a primary ball carrier, how does that make him accountable? They also bucked their ideas up after 30 mins.Digby wrote:He was part of an Italian team today who didn't support their phase playBanquo wrote:Specifically what do you mean?Digby wrote:England don't need a backrow player who doesn't support continuity.
