Another unintended consequence:
‘When I sign players up I do a lot of my negotiations on match fees,” says Easter.
“A lot of guys have signed on the premise that they’re guaranteed a start in some of our 22 games, but six of those games are no longer happening – and four of those were going to be against top-level opposition.’
Looking forward to seeing the trophy!

Yes, the match fee thing is an issue- funnily enough when the compensation was being discussed (comedically low) any financial benefit we were losing from not having two prem home games was offset against saving money on match fees, which were assumed to be a number way higher than we actually pay!

Any plans for the Not The Prem Cup trophy to do a tour of the Prem grounds and/or make an appearance at the PRC final?!?!? I quite like the idea of an open top bus ‘parade’ from the winner’s home ground to the location of the final.

Coventry to apply for promotion. Seems like they meet all revised msc other than having planning permission in place to expand capacity to 10k but are willing to take legal action on this point.

Yep, they and others who have applied (4 I believe) would have to splash out 600k ish in planning costs. Why do that when no idea if you actually are going to a- win the league and b- win the play off and c- possibly come straight back down because of funding inequity

The Championship match between Ampthill and Hartpury was abandoned after the referee appeared to be knocked out having been struck by the ball.

Conscious decision not be overly reliant after getting burned one season, I believe.
I’m sure Ampthill and LS will come to the same conclusion.

...more that they were called back by Saints. They normally have 5 or 6 in the squad.
Next season maximum of six DR in squad, season long loans excluded.

I mean that a few seasons back we had to beg borrow and steal to put a match day squad together when Saints recalled their players as they made up such a large % of the squad. Now we always make sure they’re the icing on the cake and not part of the cake.
Good news on the limit. Is that now set in stone or another gentlemen’s agreement?
