Mixed emotions i'm sure - always a possibility.

It would have been a miracle if he made it. The Chiefs are also able to have him on the practice squad as an extra player so even if we were in the discussion for back end of the 53 the rules make stashing him on the practice squad even more likely.

Yeah, it's a weird thing that the IPP rule allowing an extra practice squad player (who can be elevated) actually discourages teams from putting them on active rosters. Think it's not over for him though, some in KC do seem quite excited by the potential.

He got picked up by the Jaguars. Although now as a WR not running back.

Taxi fodder as foreseen, though at team with strong London links.
Sounds like he's just giving it his best shot and seeing what happens.

Weird that he went to Jags’ practice squad rather than Chiefs’.

Great opening game last night. Jackson was great but didn't get the job done when it really counted, once again.

The chiefs are a pretty reprehensible bunch but they are very good. They'll win the AFC West by four games this year.

They've a tendency to prize talent over anything. NFL teams are generally quite willing to overlook some pretty bad behaviour but the chiefs have quite a record.

The summer a WR called Rice caused a 6 vehicle smash while street racing at 120mph and fleeing the scene and a DL called Buggs for charged with animal cruelty. They gave their kicker a big contract after he said at a college graduation that women should stay home and raise kids and questions LGBT+ rights.

Before that they drafted Tyreek Hill (repeated allegations of beating up girlfriends) when everyone else steered clear, traded for Frank Clark after his domestic abuse allegations and defended Kadeem Hunt when he did likewise. Around ten years ago a player of theirs killed their girlfriend then commented suicide in the stadium carpark.

So overall, not a fan, despite having some of my all-time favourite players: Montana/Charles/Kelce (and not only because they beat my niners in our two most recent Superbowls).

fair play. NFL as a whole has a few unedifying stories

Also a 49er. Saw Montana, Rice in a pre season game at Candlestick; people queuing up wrapped in duvets were laughing at me and Mrs B wearing t shirt and shorts....effin freezing by end of game.

UK IPP grad might be playing regular season football this weekend:

Also worth sharing for the reminder that there is a human called Randy Bullock.

Georgia - Alabama is worth watching if you get the chance. Alabama dominated, Georgia came back, points and big plays all over the place.

Milroe is a physical specimen. Some NFL team will take a chance on turning him into something between the next Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. I wasn't impressed with Carson Beck however. Some good throws but too many inaccurate which will get punished at the next level. He's Jared Goff.

You could be a panthers fan? Winning games you'd be better losing. At least this way you'll move on from Jones for next season.

Or a Scotland fan. Destroyed by moments of hope.

Watched Mississippi take down Georgia last night. Jaxsom Dart is my new draft crush. Good arm, sees the field well, can stand in the pocket without flinching and tough. Beck continues to disappoint as a check down Charley.

Not a good QB year this time round allegedly. We could’ve had our pick of this year’s class but we beat Commanders and the Pats to pick 6 rather than 2,

Anyone watching? Chiefs selling out to stop Barkley and Hurts is taking advantage. Can't believe that's going to stick all game long.

Surely not. He's only a year away from washed but the Rams window is back open with that young defensive front they have and it would be madness to go QB shopping now.

I'm still dreaming of Garrett or Hendrickson to the niner to pair with Bosa. Sad that deebo looks to be on the move however.
