I don't like Todd Murphy. He's far too good a batsman to be number 10.

Lead now just 55. Not sure I like this - has first test repeat written all over it.

Congrats to Australia on retaining the Urn.

Congrats to Broad for a great series and career. 5 tests at that age at the level he bowled was a huge effort. Last ball batting 6, last ball wicket is fairytale stuff.

Both teams gave a great series to watch. Thoroughly enjoyable to watch.

Mo's going too - he did his bit the last few Tests.
Last play - Bairstow catching Carey off Broad - well scripted is that :D
Smashing match, and Series.

(Applying the Emi Martinez 'Chaos Theory' with his Bail switching worked for him here - will probably get banned now.. :? )

Many stats to go through but considering Broad is retiring after taking 21 wickets this series this one stood out.

Anderson four tests and five wickets. It's a shame he is going to make England drop him permanently.

Brilliant result. Fantastic cricket. Epic series.

Great effort to square the series after going 2 down.

Great stuff, the kind of series you could only wish for.

Ever so slightly disappointed to see the Ashes going back to Aus, I felt the first 2 games were there for the taking for England, but then Aus fans would probs say the same about the last 2 games for them, so I guess fairs fair.

Absolutely love what Broad did in his final test. Love it.
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

whilst the return didnt really reflect his bowling, he should think of retiring. This test especially was disappointing.

Just want to take a moment to appreciate this catch, which is special enough in its own right, but is made glorious by the player having composure enough to immediately go nonchalant, like she takes catches like that every day and so no need to celebrate. Top work.

It was quite the day of cricket and it was an honour to be there. van der Merwe’s c&b was also ridiculous and as for Harry Brooks’ assist for a catch on/over the boundary:

The man was unbelievable today.

If some numb nuts hadn’t run out the guy on 80 off 56 it could have been very ropey indeed.
