Re: Last film watched
Watched Endgame last night. Thought it was expensive drivel.
Loads of big stars, lots of action, climatic music...but the same old fucking story.
Good Vs Evil, good tries hard, evil says fuck you, so good says no fuck you, we get the last laugh.
And how I laughed.
My lad loves the MCU (did I do that right?). I just don't get the appeal. All the movies seem to be carbon copies of the previous ones. Just a change of character here and there and a new addition of a super power and we're away.

Don’t worry. There will be a new one out in 6 minutes and you’ll forget all about this one.

Predictable response. No, the first half of the film was just dull. The end was better.cashead wrote:Not a fan about empowering young women, eh? *strokes chin, shoves pipe in mouth*Banquo wrote:Captain Marvel. Actually fell asleep.

If your Dad had a paper round in the 60's/70's then like myself he probably got first dibs on the comics when they were delivered to the newsagent.WaspInWales wrote:

I think back then, these were the first dysfunctional heroes we'd ever seen.

Apologies for going a bit OT but think Mike wouldn't mind.
I've been bingeing on the box set of Upstart Crow. It's fecking good.

What are you referring to here? I'm a big fan of both of those guys. Or was it just a general observation?kk67 wrote:Massively impressed by Benedict Wong and Eddie Marsan.

Isn't it just the same film again, just live action instead of animated?Banquo wrote:Lion King - really enjoyed it, to my surprise

Pretty much, which is why I wasn’t expecting much. But the CGI is jaw dropping, and it’s funnier than first time for me.Puja wrote:Isn't it just the same film again, just live action instead of animated?Banquo wrote:Lion King - really enjoyed it, to my surprise

Deadpool isn't part of the Avengers franchise but Eddie was bloody good as the Headmaster.
