How could you argue that two players working hard is part of the problem out of interest?
Working hard should be a given for any pro player tbh, but not sure that's what p/d is driving at. A cursory look at the stats for the wales game shows how much carrying the tight 5 did individually and collectively- outside the half backs and dombrandt, Genge, Sinckler, Ewels and Itoje as individuals had the ball in their hands more than any other player...so collectively, that's a lot of carrying; it says much about the game plan, and needs looking at, because bar one dent by Genge of about 10 metres, most of it was ending at or before the tackle line and didn't lead to busts or quick ball. We need to do better than that imo.

I blame Smith.
Aye. You just put it better.

I blame Stuart

Dombrandt isolating due to covid and Underhill recalled are probably headlines from latest squad. Think we’ve missed Underhill and wouldn’t be at all surprised if he came straight back into the team.

Curry back to 8, are you thinking? I can't see Jones dropping Lawes against Ireland.

denudes the carrying even more, though.

Yes…

Not sure where to put this but it occurred to me that England are starting to look more like an Australian team, or trying to. Not sure that’s a good thing. Not sure it should be surprising….

But could be talking be nonsense. Been a looooong day

If Dombrandt is out Alfie Barbeary could well get the call. And I'd bet he'd do well too. Can't think that Jones would play Underhill so short of game time.

Underhill, Curry and Barbeary. Starting to look a bit tasty.

You mean Lawes, Curry, Underhill with Simmonds on the bench?
