On first view I thought it was harsh, but when the ref talked it through, pace, force, head contact, he was following the letter of the law

No idea why I said Keats, you are correct it was JJ
I think whenever you fail to turn the screw in the first half you always run the risk of getting dragged back into a dogfight and to concede a soft yellow and then a red the momentum shift was inevitable

TOH won’t enjoy seeing the reruns of that on Monday. Great work by Cronin to dig the ball out and superb hands and feet by Ian to get it through. Andy is having another cracker.

If Earls had been a Glaswegian hooker he’d have managed to plant himself face first for a red.

GWAN CONOR!

Marcus gave MOTM to Conor Oliver. I wouldn't begrudge the lad his pot on his first game back, but Keith, Andy and Ian ripped them apart in the 2nd half. We needed the win, but Connacht really weren't much of a match, especially when Roux was binned.

Enjoy the cheerleaders arses, Dom.

Lots of shady stuff going on in the wake of Rassie's departure with Aled Walters following him to the Boks and Felix apparently turning down an offer to do so (Will he stay with us when his current contract runs out next year?) Simon also falling foul of a bit of psycho-skullduggery by the Racing media team ahead of Sunday's match.

Great news about Billy, KOB and Stevie, all of them having signed 2-year extensions. Congratulations too, to Fineen, Liam O'C and Calvin for getting development contracts.

Not sure what to make of the two South African schoolboys who have been signed up by the Academy, nor of the news that Grobler may be on the sheet this weekend. There's lots of talk about not condemning the lad for life, so let's see how he goes; if he's half way near as decent as Jean we're on a winner.

Grobbler should not have been singed but we can blame the evil irfu for letting donnacha go.

Signing the saffer kids doesn't sit well at all

That was a pretty awesome performance from Tadgh Beirne last night. What a superb lad to be coming into the squad next season.

Lord now that was a grand stretch of the legs this afternoon. 0-3 down after 14 minutes and then 48 unanswered points? Anyone would think we were playing Castres.

And now Tomas is in Dancing with the Stars!

Short of an All Ireland final weekend, Sundays just don't get any better.

Donnacha must be delighted at being interviewed 2 weeks running. Now official racing spokesman. Nucifora hasn't a scoobie

Murray the complete SH, Earls at his brilliant best and Zebo not far behind.
A pity Zebo will not be playing in the 6N. Ireland's best FB by some distance.

I agree that Simon was superb yesterday, but three weeks ago in Belfast he was beyond dreadful and I wouldn't say he had his best of days last week in Paris. It is a long stretch to say he is Ireland's best, when you have Larmour playing so well and (yes he's saying it again) Kearney regularly putting in the impressive shifts.

Most honourable mentions from yesterday must also go to James Cronin; the pack was a completely different beast when he came on and as early as it was, I wonder if Killer was carrying a knock from the pre-match. Stevie put in yet another monster of a shift and Rhys yet again makes it difficult to see Niall getting his starting spot back any time soon. His idiotic face-patting nonsense aside, Jean had another monster and both POM and CJ were peerless in terms of back-row performances this weekend. It seems odd to single out Billy and Chris by not singling them out; both had good games.

Ian had yet another masterful game; I know that any stand-off playing behind so dominant a pack and the best 9 in the world should be having a cracker week in/week out, but this man has been reborn and is beyond a doubt the best stand-off in Ireland behind Johnny Sexton. Rory and Chris are one of the most potent centre partnerships in Europe and have no real need to be sweating too much about having to face up to Bastareaud and Nonu at the end of March - with Sam Arnold we have real depth and I wonder if Jaco will be back in the mix by the time the 6Ns are over. What else is there to say about a back three like that other than don't forget Andy Conway - he is having a wonderful season.

Though notable enough due to JJ getting one over off the tee.

Difficult to find the words to describe just how poor we were tonight. Perhaps it is enough to say that JJ kicking 100% from the tee was the high point. Shame everything else was beyond pants.
