As Hastings' kicking has been so poor, we're not playing in the right areas or putting them under pressure.

Awful kicking. Consistently playing 10m behind the gainline. Who could have guessed?

Even if we put in a pearl of a second half performance the question as to why we cannot play for 80 minutes will remain.

Anyway, this is fairly, er, attritional. If we can go in further ahead than this, I’d be happy.

Certainly don’t deserve to be ahead. I’ll take it though. Is there anyone in the back room who will inject some fire into the side for the second half? Do we have anyone like that? We’re so passive.

Why is it that the only incisive play at pace we've made so far had Jonny Gray on the end of the ball?

I notice when Horne isn't in the team there is a very 'shovel it on' to Jones or Hogg mentality in the hope they'll do something individually brilliant. Horne is far better at creating the opportunities for our strike runners and I suspect he's probably our best 12 coming our of this series.

Looks like they had a game plan for the forecasted good weather and that they haven't quite got a gameplan for playing the conditions.

On the plus side Ritchie is having a decent game. Wingers are getting involved a fair bit too which is good.

How's that not a pen? Jones is holding him and he got back up!

That was my assumption but only because of the direction he was looking.

Argentina making a mistake by not trying to milk a scrum pen. Their dominance is clear.

We need to stop this pish with Gray or AN Other forward at 1st receiver. They are not skilled enough.

Johnson's a thug but he's not wrong about us. Pretty sure he said similar before the match as well.

Tactically we are shit. If GT wants us to play fast rugby then that message hasn't got thru to the players. If he wants us to change our rugby based on oppo/conditions then we need to develop some other skills, cos right now anytime we arent chucking it about we look like absolute shit.

The charges of being a badly coached team aren't being laid to rest with this performance.

In fairness, the RGs are playing pretty well.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Did our players just meet 5 mins before kick off. This is clueless shit. We've had a dire autumn that's thrown up more questions than answers.

Scotland are basically Glasgow on roids - sublime when it works. But nothing outside of plan A & mentally lacking, unable to play what is in front of them.

Yep. We’re not quite slowing it down and playing he conditions, we’re just trying to play the usual overly-ambitious game in fits and starts and at an incredibly slow pace. I just don’t get it.

Apparently it’s dried up and that will help us, but may if anything hide our ineptitude at adapting to conditions/opposition. If both teams play the same way it will just come down to who’s passes stick more. Argentina could have had a couple of tries in that first half.

Bring back big Vern!

Only half in jest, but some of the non decision making in the past year has been appalling. Just don’t seem cynical/ smart enough at the moment.

Yeah I love Townsend but I was always if the opinion we made the move too early and I wanted to see GT adapt a team or turn Glasgow into a threat in Europe first.

Absolutely fucking clueless. Those waxing lyrical about Scotland performances being captivating are only watching highlights reels. Watching every game - we are often playing brainless and turgid stuff.

Argies are upping the intensity now. Too easy to hit us behind the gainline when we insist on playing slow, telegraphed rugby.
