Laidlaw doesn't even fucking know who he is aiming at half the time.

Wasteful. As usual a LOT of effort and nothing to show for it. Why didn't we just take the 3?
And WTF is going on with the clock on ITV?

First time since March 2017 that Scotland have a clean sheet at halftime. Samoa haven't failed to score in the first since June 2017 when they went down 78-0 to NZ.

Re: Scotland World Cup campaign
Considering the conditions, nerves and having played so shite last week I'll take a 20 point lead playing poorly.
Need to be better, but at least we're winning.

Twenty points up and in need of the bonus point I'm good with them going for the try. The set up for the mail was poor though, under McFarland we'd have scored that.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Wasteful. As usual a LOT of effort and nothing to show for it. Why didn't we just take the 3?

Re: Scotland World Cup campaign
First two were well set up so that was frustrating. I'm reasonably happy with how we are doing considering how slippy the ball seems though.switchskier wrote:Twenty points up and in need of the bonus point I'm good with them going for the try. New back row stepping up and Hogg still on form. Could really do with an early try this half. Samoa showed signs of tiring but if we give them a sniff they'll perk up and the subs always disrupt things

Two more tries and the job's as good as done, but problems have got to be addressed before taking on the hosts.
C'mon Scotland!!

Good start Hoggy. Nowhere near being in-play.

Couple of duff kicks there from Hogg, but he’s playing well overall. Bradbury also looking good.

Gauzere is mentally challenged. What is he seeing at scrum time that we are not?

Right - have we been paying attention in defence class?

Reid is old enough and daft enough not to do what he did there in front of the ref. Clearly ran round the outside of the man.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Gauzere is mentally challenged. What is he seeing at scrum time that we are not?

When Gray picked it up there, you could hear Grieg saying, “Johnny, where you going?”.

Where's the Samoan card? It's constant.

Haha. I really don't know who is to blame for insisting we keep trying that shit. We were so lucky to get away with that.General Zod wrote:When Gray picked it up there, you could hear Grieg saying, “Johnny, where you going?”.

After the Samoan TH went back at a rate of knots but I haven't seen a replay.Big D wrote:Reid is old enough and daft enough not to do what he did there in front of the ref. I'd rather they take the 3, bury the game and then hunt the tries.

Do we not trust ourselves to score off an advancing scrum from there?

Monye is making the same point so I'm probably wrong.

Told you we should have picked Kinghorn out there.
