Re: The I'll Start a Munster Thread Before ... Thread
turgid stuff Serj,
lucky dip Whitehouse gave us several favours and we still didn't look like turning it into anything vaguely threatening. The dropping off of tackles was criminal, precious ball simply kicked to nothing and nothing resembling a modicum of skill in handling from our backs. I appreciate its cold, but it wasn't wet
dreadful stuff, fair play to Edinburgh, they deserved the win, I think we were lucky to get even a LBP

Thought Whitehouse was equally bad for both sides. He ruined the game as a spectacle with his obsessive and over-zealous reffing.

I'll not be one to blame the ref. I agree with Dom that Ben's polishing arm appeared over-zealous in our favour, but there was no way he was getting a shine on that turd.
I'd say that with the exception of Sam and Conor, there wasn't another player in red who warranted a performance rating of more than 3 or 4 out of 10 (Perhaps Dan and Billy J when they came on); collectively I'd be generous and give them a 2. A performance that fell well below the sum of their collectively mediocre parts.

Usually I can get a read on a ref, you can start to see what he favours and what he is going to ping, whether its allowing more competition at the breakdown or not really monitoring the offside line, and of course no one bothers with a squint feed. But I genuinely struggled last night to pick up what his themes were, it felt like he was all over the place, for both sides, yes, but I think the significance of where Munster got the rub of the green affected the scoreboard rather than simply territorial advantage or possession.
But yeah, Munster were poor, I thought Copeland made a couple of good contributions ball in hand but they were just flashes of good which failed to ignite anyone around him

Are we simply avoiding talking about that other thing that's going on today?

When did they increase to Annual? Is it because he has a history of glaucoma in the family?

I’m getting reports of some goings on in Middlesex! It would need to be something remarkable to keep McShinner’s bath off the front pages.

It seems that Putin has done it again. He has let loose something noxious on the quiet streets of England in direct contravention of the laws of nature.

You beatches. Congrats on the slam. Clinical. Everyone within 50 feet of an Irish pub in Philadelphia today is Irish. Apparently. I've been put on notice by actual Irish people that you are coming for the ABs next world cup. POM is the new McCaw, albeit with the wrong invisible number on his back. Enya is officially erased from the public consciousness. Panic on the streets of London.

Thanks MP. We (That is Dom and me; apparently the last remaining IMBers) appreciate the effort it took to actually find someone to congratulate.
Is it time, I wonder, to amalgamate us with the French and Italian board?

They're going to need a bloody big plate to hand us our arses on today!
Our 2nds vs Wales should be good prep for the visit of the Toulon Globetrotters next weekend followed by a 2 week trip to the high veldt.
Worst case scenario sees us out of the Champions Cup and into an away quarter-final spot within 3 weeks.

Abysmal kicking effectively inviting them to play to their strength. Fortunately we seem to have choked the pace out of the game. We need to keep it choked. Lucky to be in it at half time to be honest. Sam Arnold is doung well enough; so too JOD. The others need to up it a good shift.
