As for the maths. There are mathematic 'theories' on both sides, they are not the same as mathematical facts. I asked for maths.

A good article from the Herald (!) on the challenges of contracting age grade players in Auckland.

Nice. 3 years. That's like a marriage for SBW.
I can see him being a big part of the championship-winning dynasty that's about to boil out of Auckland. The early years of it, anyway.

Re: Blues Thread
Who is taking odds on SBW lasting 3 years?
I wonder how the Blues will ruin and/misuse him?

While we're at it, we'll also take Counties back. It'll make up for having to put up with Northland and North Harbour.

You still owe us for babysitting Harbour when Auckland wasn't even good enough to be the dominant province in its own region!zer0 wrote:While we're at it, we'll also take Counties back. It'll make up for having to put up with Northland and North Harbour.

Those North Shore splitters can be merged back into the motherland, too.

Re: Blues Thread
I see your game. Next you will want Counties back, and for Waikato to reclaim King Country and Thames Valley to reform the old South Auckland Union, before annexing that and a renamed North Auckland to reinstate Auckland Province to its original borders!

The rate that Auckland's sprawling at, your scenario is only a matter of time.Lizard wrote:I see your game. Re: Blues Thread
Two more Counties/Auckland players coming to the Blues.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/supe ... -crusadersCounties Manukau lock Jimmy Tupou and prop Alex Hodgman will transfer home on two-year deals from 2017.
Tupou played 25 times for Crusaders since 2013 and 39 games for Counties. Standing 1.96m and 107kg, he has played both lock and loose forward but wants to specialise in the second-row.
...
Hodgman, formerly from Mt Albert Grammar and a graduate of the Blues under-18 programme, has spent two seasons at the Crusaders.
The 22-year-old, who is 1.90m and 115kgs, played in two under-20 World Cups for Fiji in 2012 and New Zealand in 2013 before being offered a place in the Crusaders wider training squad last year. He was promoted to a full contract this year, playing five times for the Crusaders.

Re: Blues Thread
Fuck, that was a bit of all right. Bottom placed Kiwi team tears the top Aussie team a new one. Blues have played well the past two weeks.
