Indeed, it was the winner. What a play! How did he manage to get both feet down?
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

New England just gets the best out of its resources. Amazing comeback in fairness.rowan wrote:Indeed, it was the winner. What a play! How did he manage to get both feet down?
Amendola was pretty much a journeyman when signed, and he's 32 now and playing brilliantly.

So that's what it's like watching the All Blacks as a neutral.

He was a second round pick who had an offer for more money from the team that drafted him (Rams) that he turned down to go win things with the Patriots. I'm really pleased for him as each offseason he's expected to be the one that leaves and each season he comes up big when the playoffs come around.Banquo wrote:New England just gets the best out of its resources. Re: Super Bowl LII Poll
Looks like it was quite a hammering - and there goes my interest in this year's Super Bowl.
Well, I guess I'll still be hoping for an Eagles upset but I certainly won't be watching. On the basis of last night's games you'd have to give them a chance as well. But the Pats will no doubt be back to their best with Brady recovered and the Gronk returning, presumably. Real shame the Vikings won't be playing in their home stadium, though it doesn't sound like they deserved to. & that's my pick gone up in smoke as well.

That’s as maybe, but he had average returns for the Rams by the top standards, hence journeyman. Maybe harsh, but fair. Anyway, he’s a play off star.switchskier wrote:He was a second round pick who had an offer for more money from the team that drafted him (Rams) that he turned down to go win things with the Patriots. That game-winning catch was spectacular, right out of the Dwight Clarke book of last ditch miracles. But Clarke was 1.94m in the 80s. Amendola's only 1.8m - practically a midget on the gridiron. & despite being surrounded by taller men at the back of the end zone, he comes away with an amazing catch. Of course, it required a precision pass from Brady to set it up...

Re: Super Bowl LII Poll
Doesn't really mean much to me, though I enjoy watching a bit now and again, and had a good chat on this forum with the other guys were were following the Pats-Jags game live. Thoroughly enjoyable - and I'll be back on Super Bowl Sunday to chat about that game. I won't be staying up all night to watch it tho

Oh, nice! I actually forgot about it. Good to see a new team win it. Congratulations Philadelphia
Will Brady hang up his helmet yet?
So who was it that voted for the Eagles? Some kudos are in order . . .

Me. I voted for them.
Don't pay attention to the reports of looting and rioting. Some shit was broken, but essentially it was thousands of people high-fiving. Bars just emptied into the street at the final whistle. Good vibes and the whole city is buzzing.
