Agree.

His work over the ball is first rate, and with ball in hand always makes some yardage in traffic. Think Simmonds put in a great shift whilst (IMHO) Ewers underwhelms as a ball carrier when further than a yard out.

How Armand isn't in the training squad remains a mystery
Ewers carried powerfully a couple of times I thought, including in the build up to his own try. Armand is really a 6 as well, but with Simmonds and LCD so good over the ball, it just about works.

LCD's throwing will hold him back unless he can find a way- but his and his mates scrummaging is excellent too.
Armand had at least as many steals as Simmonds. Why do you mention one as good over the ball and not the other? Confirmation bias? :D ;)

Because between the three of them they don’t necessarily miss a ‘traditional’ 7. It wasn’t a comment that Simmonds is better over the ball than Armand but that they complement each other.

Exactly.

and I have nothing against Armand, at all.

It's no bloody fun when you don't argue . . . .

Thought all the Exe back row were just terrific yesterday. Kvesic added another dimension when he came one. Armand should really be in any England squad but it looks like it will be just Simmonds who will get a call.
