I thought that was really funny. It’s great when he loses it.Spiffy wrote:Eddie Jones makes a song and dance over nothing about AWJ after the Wales v. Scotland game to try and gain some cheap advantage points. But when World Wugby has something to say after the event re. Englandv Wales about a non-awarded try, he gets on his high horse and splutters that nothing should be said about games that are over, done and dusted; and that these kinds of comments cannot be tolerated. If you are looking for morons, look no further. He sounded a daft tit on the subject of Mike Brown last weekend too.kk67 wrote:Stop being morons.
On the AWJ thing though I would argue it’s different as that’s (as much as just fucking with the head of the opposition) about a precedent being set over players influencing the ref in future. As that Charlie Morgan guy pointed out, the most key part of the incident got mysteriously left out of the wales online run-down of events, where the ref walked off and AWJ blocked the kick.
Anyway, I didn’t give a shit about it either way. AWJ is a serious competitor/leader. Even if he is enormously overrated as a player.
But publicly announcing that the TMO fucked up when nothing can be done about it doesn’t seem particularly constructive. What effect will that have in the future? TMOs remembers to be right 100% of the time? Or they take hours deliberating over everything? Or perhaps just don’t want to get involved at all?
