Re: Wasps having problems?
No idea how much was spent; and no idea how long Bruce was involved and waiting for the consents to come through before announcing his involvement; but anything ahead of the announcement was kept very quite very successfully.
As for it's previous use - it was a school for 70s through 90s; then an office block. I do know that it was fully refurb.d by Bath; and that the Chapel-Gym conversion was apparently a nightmare for planning and execution - though I also seem to remember that it was massively up-specced from the original plans when Geech came on board.
I've also watched enough Grand Designs to know that you can't just throw £££ at a listed / heritage building and just get things done.

I spend a lot of time wondering where these idiots come from.Mellsblue wrote: you can chuck as much money at it as you like but if the Conservation Officer or English Heritage don’t like it then tough, and those feckers don't work at your pace.
Town Planning and similarly NIMBY twats who earn a living by being themselves..?. Who are these people..?.
Where the hell did they come from and can I apply ?.
Are they the idiot offspring of the Aristocracy,... trying to make a name for themselves..?.

Re: Wasps having problems?
I live in a 2* listed building, which puts it in the top 7.5% of listings ( the rating has to do with historical importance ). It takes me around 18 months to 2 years to get a window frame changed. Even when you get approvals, finding the right craftsman is a complete bugger; it is not that they are even all that expensive, lots of them do it for the love of restoring heritage buildings, but they are as rare as hen's teeth.

Well you'd imagine that'd cause delays.

Not great but the bond stuff was known about and there's already been the meeting to change the terms. Outside of that we look to be in a similar position to basically every other club out there except Exeter, we need the owner to put in cash. If he decides to stop I'd guess we're at least an attractive proposition to new owners.
