I appreciate that we are as biased as each other, but neither of the things are even close to being true.

Well I disagree.

His arms where clearly wrapping round.

We must agree to disagree. Cracking game, and let’s sit back and watch Wasps implode.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure (but need to watch again) that his arms did wrap…

But first contact was to the head, with full force… it happened to be the shoulder than hit him, but for me that's irrelevant

It's a red card for me - but it's not a no arms tackle to the head - if Taylor is taller, or he ducks lower, the tackle is absolutely fine (but he isn't and he doesn't, so it's not)

Smith was done for hitting at shoulder level and riding up wasn't he? This one was straight to the head.

See I don't even think it was full force form Spencer, when you watch it at full speed.

But obviously i'm going to be biased.

Sorry, I mean full force in the sense that it's a full tackle, it's not a glancing blow, or falling backwards, or trying to stand up the player in the tackle (rugby league style) - it's a tackle, it puts Taylor down - It's not full force as in a killer shot that makes a Courtney Lawes show reel

It's a huge shame - there wasn't malice in it - Dan Cole's was so much worse

Quite amused by Tom Youngs saying "Rugby's changed". Yes it has Tom, it's been quite well publicised, this shouldn't be catching you by surprise.

Interesting take by Burns

Don't necessarily disagree with this - but it's not the refs fault here…

Most of the players on twitter seem to think it wasn't a Red.

Hard to know how Launchbury wasn't awarded that turnover

Note: The reffing against Worcester last weekend was quite special too

Not seen Ian Tempest’s other performances?

Regrets the red and is compensating himself down a rabbit hole.

I can't remember the last game I watched where all the crowd were in agreement that the referee's a wanker

Pretty much this exactly. Yes Wasps are losing composure a bit, but there have been some decisions that can only be explained by trying to "even it out".

Once, just once, I'd love to watch Wasps without them putting us through it.

May is a different player these days. The lad's finally got some grit. Lima starting to purr. Starting to see the Hughes of old. Manu looked menacing early on then disappeared from view thankfully.

After a ropey start I thought Booj played himself into the game and had a very influential last 30 mins.
Ford was class. Robson head and shoulders above Youngs. Hughes deserved motm. Launch quietly effective as always.

Freddie Burns has it right. No one wants to see nasty, dangerous high hits but please lets try and differentiate those from the kind of contacts that occur throughout a game. I'm pretty sure no one would have thought a yellow for Spencer was inappropriate. Refs have to follow a protocol but some flexibility is surely required.
The game itself was a belter. Huge credit to Tigers for getting 2 BP's in the circumstances. Ford was excellent.
Booj looks like a canny signing, Launch was first rate and Hughes continued his very good form. Stuart looked really good off the bench.
