If daly wants to play centre and wasps are going to play him there we should just go with that. Get brown back in and see what happens with watson's fitness.

I think the purchase of Campagnaro, presence of De Jong and absence of Wade suggests he will be playing a lot of wing

Yep, Daly is not a full back unfortunately. Nice to know that he CAN fill in there as cover, but shouldn't start there.

Changing the subject but related to Daly and cricket... doesn't Daly take those sliding catches beautifully? Did it against Aus I think and often does it on the wing. NOT a fullback, not great under the high ball when contested etc but as an aside, watching him field the ball like that is marvelous... great footballer he is purely in terms of technique uncontested.

This, a hundred times, this. All this crap about Coka is just daft compared with Daly's prowess as an international winger. Coka, because of his size, is a useful bench option against some opposition. Daly is a confirmed world class winger who should start there in every game, if fit.

Quite. I have no doubt that he has the talent to become a good international winger but Daly is already a top-class one. Coka may have the ability to be special but there have been suggestions that he should get loads of game time in the 6N. Daly and May should start all the 6N games. This close to the RWC we have to build continuity and slickness. It is our last competitive tournament in the build-up. We should be balls-out to win it with our best XV starting every match. Any experimentation should be confined to late arrival from the bench and I'd not have Coka there even for the Dublin match.

He looks pretty damn good to me. If he can iron out a few iffy bits and pieces without losing his core skills, he'll be a very valuable winger for England.

That running into the defender was obviously a rush of blood to the head in this case. I'm sure that will come in time as he obviously has a step.

What surprised me most about him was his speed. He doesn't look to be travelling that fast but he kept up with a flat out May at one point. Daly is very good of course but has lloked a bit meh this autumn undestandably. He does seem to have been entered into the "indisputably world class club" by a lot of people recently. Maybe the Cocka crap and the Daly World Class club should both be taken with a smidge of salt?

I like Daly, I wanna see more of Cocka. You never know, maybe giving our wingers the odd bit of rest might allow them to be fit for the actual WC?

The Daly world class stuff is talking about when he plays on the wing, which he wasn’t this autumn.
Think I read somewhere that Cokanasiga’s top speed is the best at Bath, ie faster than Watson. Which is fast!!!

I feel like May needs a rest. He seems down on speed. He couldn't catch Morahan at the weekend and while Morahan is no slouch, May is one of the fastest players in world rugby. I think he's a little tired and could do with some time off.

May strikes me as a lot harder working than he ever used to be. His kick chases actually have intent now and he seems to be a lot more involved for Eng during a match than in his first few caps. Understandble if he's getting tired.

Yeah, supposedly quickest 50m PB in the Bath squad.
At the weekend, he turned, chased down, and hauled in Solomona as well, running a longer line than Slomomona had to.

It's also a joy seeing him go looking for work off his wing, though he could do with better decision making as to when; that comes with experience, which he won't get by not playing
