What a surprise that Garces doesn't think it's a try.

Would I be gutted if that was scored against us? Probably not tbh.

Most important question of the match. Has Youngs dyed his hair?

Think this is the best I've seen Faz play, Manu doing well at IC, pack all going well, Even Young's has done the odd good thing, whilst Nowell is everywhere, and May is looking really good.
Faz has done some really nice things; if we wanted to be picky, Youngs can't find him and he's also taking it standing still. But there are some nice things happening.....and the pack, discipline aside, are strangling the Irish.

HT Ire 10 - 17 Eng
Pen Faz 40 min.
Close, but unclear Mako try attempt.unlucky.

Even contest - Ire undertstandably getting rub of the green, decision wise.

on balance England deserve to be 7 up. Except for those girly crosses on their shirts. They deserve minus 7 for those.

The best performances are from the pack. The front row, Wilson and Billy in particular have been excellent in defense, while Mako has been excellent in attack, too.

Having spend most of the half letting Ireland get away with murder at the rucks, crooked throws, obstruction, and milking it for penalties, Garces has finally had enough of Murray not giving him the ball and has started to favour England.

Massive 40 coming up.

How often do Ireland and Leinster come out in the second half and dominate?

This. He’s either stationary or coming on to the ball at full sprint. There’s no nuance to the pace at which he comes onto the ball. The pass for the first try was pin point, though.

Garces is always 'let em play' with his reffing. Itoje was lucky to not get a yellow. I don't see partiality in his reffing, Ireland just playing the ref better.

Itoje is doing a hell of a shift; however, the penalties have been so pointless. I don't mind if its competing for the ball in their 22 so much, but tnree utterly brainless ones.

I like that we can also see the benefit of having a gainline man at 12. Be great outside Ford :)

Henshaw at FB looks a bit at sea defensively, Eng need to mix it up a bit.

Ford will like these conditions.Interesting choices outside him for EJ. Good test of Manu's fitness.

I actually think they have mixed it up; smart kicking strategy for once. My only complaint was that its so pre-programmed that Youngs and Faz don't kno what to do with turnover or quick ball.

England on a different level physically, but Irish cohesion in attack is much better than ours. We’re sort of relying a bit on talent over cohesion I think.

It's a scrap and we are scrapping well. In the 2nd half we need to raise our game even further because there is no doubt that Ireland will raise theirs.

Dallaglio's 'well-worked try' comment took some believing. It was an Irish cock-up caused by pressure.

Big first 10 mins. If Eng score, they should win it, Ireland score and it's game on.
