Ha, I used to love breaking out the mortars for the bushwookies that camp on inaccessible rooftops. Doing it from my own spawn, just to make it even more irritating.
So, aye, operations is really good, although make sure you eat before you start, because if you end up with two teams that are equally incompetent as each other, it ends up taking slightly longer than World War 1 did.

Yeah I sometimes forget to do eat, drink and pish for a few hours. Mostly balances itself out.

Oh here, I also got Deus Ex a while back, it's pretty good If a bit clunky at times. That and the enemy AI does some astonishingly stupid things for a game that has a very large stealth element to it. It's not anywhere near the same style of game, and it's probably an unfair thing to do, but for some reason, because I played the Witcher 3 prior to it, I couldn't help but compare the two. It's probably the open world aspect and character dialog stuff, but it really shows it up. Would recommend it if you see it on offer, but don't really think it's worth paying 40 or 50 quid for.
Seeing as I brought it up, if you've not played it, the Witcher 3 is the tits.

I never bothered with it. With BF1 and Titanfall out this month I couldn't justify it. They'll both see me up to wildlands.

I loved the previous ones, entirely for the stealth stuff (and the blade runner backdrop I suppose) but I couldn't tell if this new one entirely revolves on blasting people's faces off or if that's just the way adverts like to show games off? Is that a question? I don't know.
Scrap that. The story in the first one was stunning. I think, as is the trend, that might be marginalised in favour of combat but that's just a guess. The story do anything worthwhile?

You can stealth the whole game, I'm half way through my ghost run now, it's hard, but fucking satisfying... and mercifully, unlike the last one, they've removed the forced boss fights from it, so if you are a stealth build, you don't need to spend anything on health or other combat perks.
The story isn't bad in this one, if you liked the last one, you'll like this.
Also, it's not so yellow anymore.

That'll do. Tah.
I got the tweaked version of the second game where they'd made stealth versions of all the boss fights but not actually made it that far yet. I just get too distracted crawling around in vents.

I replayed the last Red Dead when it showed up as backward compatible the other month. Still a very good game. Rockstar know how to make an open world game. Besides, miss about time they stopped counting the money they are making off GTA and made another game.

How did you get on? I've only just got through the biplane story, I'm playing it on hard, and it's handing me my arse. Took me a fucking age to get through the first war story, because those two little tanks at the end kept flanking me. In the end, I just drove into a house, and kind of glitched it so they couldn't land a shot. I would feel bad, but fuck them for the difficulty spike, I said I wanted a challenge, not to fight a young Rommel.

Hahaha. Completed the campaigns, I think my hatred for the RAF got in the way, never going to be a pilot. Enjoyed getting my recce hat back on for the Arabian campaign, nice wee touch getting to sneak around. Got absolutely slaughtered the hour or so I played online, ops is the dugs though.

You still playing this mate? Had to give it a wee break to allow time for study. Jumped back on the other day, seems we've got a new map with a fucked blimp in the middle of it.
Thank fuck they've nerfed the 10 A hunter shotgun, that thing was comically OP. Like punching people in the dark, hilarious when you are doing it, shite when some 12 year old, albino arthropod from Utah is doing it to you.

Yeah. Haven't been on for a few days though due to work and studying. Not sure if we've got the new map yet.

Here Baz, did you get to have a tilt at the wildlands Beta? I forgot about it until it was too late, but from what I've seen it looked good.
Also wish these dicks would stop calling these things Beta's. It's a fucking demo, they really don't care that some 12 year old helmet from Granton has somehow managed to glitch himself into space, it's the finished product. I guess if I'm being generous you could say they are break testing the multiplayer servers.

No. I thought about but thought I'd rather wait until it was released proper. Plus it means I'd actually hand in my essays on time.

Fair call, I played it for a couple of hours tonight. If you like getting your sneaky bastard on, it's pretty fucking good. The AI seems extremely unforgiving if you try and John Rambo it. The bird was just watching me play there for a bit, manged to sneak up on a group of lads, snuff them all out and nick their helicopter, was smugly telling her I'm the king of the sneaking about and stealing helicopters, and how she aught to bask in the turbulence of my recon magnificence when I flew into the side of a mountain. She told me I should make some friends and go out more.
It's good though cat man. Beta is there till the 27th, and worth checking out if you can find the time.

Is it good single player? I kind of looked at it as a 4 player job.
Oh and buy a ps4
And another copy.

Haha, ah, i would if I could justify the expenditure.
Only played it for about 5 minutes single player, the squad AI is pretty handy though. I've 3 idiot mates who were playing it with me tonight, think it'll be one of them that can be played single player, but is really built for, and excels at co-op.

So myself and a mate played the beta of wildlands pretty much through to completion. It's just 2 areas from the map of about 22.
I don't know man... after the initial fun of sneaking about and sniping cats, it gets pretty repetitive. It's a hell of a lot like Far cry 4 with a weaker plot... although, thinking about that, its extremely harsh of me to criticise the plot from the 10% of the game I've seen. The last of us might look shit if you randomly picked out a small part of the story.
The gun play is not bad at all, the driving though..... eeeeeesh it's bad. Cars handle like tug boats, and some of the physics is amusing. You can basically drive as the crow flys and it seems impossible to roll anything. Choppers handle somewhere between GTA's choppers and BF4's. You can fling them around a fair bit without fear of them randomly exploding. Which is nice.
Not sure really, think I'll hold out to see how it reviews at release. Just not sure there is enough there for 50 quid. I've been wildly wrong off of first impressions before though.

Ah now don't get me wrong Baz, it's a good game, it looks very good too. I'm just concerned it's going to lack a bit of longevity. I may be wrong on that, sure Hitman works extremely well, and that's just doing the same shit on the same map in different ways.
Don't take my word as anything other than a misinformed moron on the Internet. Remember, I support Embra and Hibs, I've got no idea what a good game looks like.
