On another note, if a player is tackled if his knees are on the ground, why do refs continue to allow players to hold them up or strip the ball?

Really? I was more thinking that his passing has actually been quite good.

Or have I missed some of the usual howlers? I'm not sure I've been paying as much attention as I should.

Bear in mind I haven't considered any of his performances particularly good for several years.

Daly has been utterly dire. Ignoring the failure to tackle, he's been tentative sweeping, and that whole attack came from him refusing to compete for an eminently competable high ball.

By no means terrible but there have been instances of the passing lottery as usual.
