His impact on the 2nd half vs Wales QF was spectacular

I remember the punchline to that at the end of extra-time though...

Probably wouldn't have been needed if we'd knocked it off after the first couple didn't work and the weather got worse.
Not unfair. Are you the third man watching with us?

But he was dire against France in the semi. Clearly best used as a substitute.

I think Hill's injury was a blessing in disguise - Moody was a burst of fresh energy which we really needed and there's no way he would've come on if one of the Holy Trinity hadn't been injured.

Ooh, look. It's a penalty given against us where we're actually at fault! How novel!

It took me a second to work out that you weren't referring to Beefeater there! Thanks for the company.

Thanks Puja. Sorry, I missed some of the first half.

I was surprised at how much I had forgotten, mind it was a few years ago and I do remember we were drinking more and more as the game progressed.

No. But I did watch it a few weeks ago. Was genuinely surprised at how poor it was. Watson was garbage but given the amount of experience on both sides the level of decision making was hopeless.

I remember feeling how utterly unfair it was - we'd dominated the game and had far outplayed Australia, only for them to be given a second chance by the ref being petty and blowing for a penalty before the scrum had even finished collapsing. I'd've held a grudge forever if we'd gone on to lose.

Puja
However, hanging on after a truly awful second half wouldn't have had any sort of narrative compared to Sir Jonny kicking in the last 30 seconds for the win. Funny how things balance isnt it?
