Get off this board at once.
#worldcupfinal2019
But I agree

They weren't stellar but I'd put them a way down the list of things which went horribly wrong.
Not sure about that, actually.

I’d like see Ted Hill at 6 for at least two of the Autumn Tests, with Simmons at 8 and Curry at 7. Does the future lie with Billy V at 8? I’m not convinced.

I could see a pack of:
1 Mako
2 Cowan-Dickie
3 Stuart
4 Itoje
5 Launchbury
6 J Willis or Ludlum
7 Underhill
8 Dombrandt
As being a nice balance between form and versatility - Itoje aside the Saracens forwards need to prove they are still up to the job

Aside from his rather manic running style that shouts "energy" (to you) what is it you think Ludlam does better than Curry? Arguably a better lineout jumper. I'm drawing a blank on anything else though, and that's not a swipe at Ludlam in any sense.

Assuming you mean T Curry, he looks about the most natural footballer in the entire side. I can't fathom why anyone would leave him out, other than sabotage.

Ludlam's 2 inches taller; and therefore better at everything

Right now it's significantly less risk of bringing Covid with him isn't it?
That aside we're back in surreal drop your best back row world.

I'd think he's one of the first three names on Eddie's team sheet. The other two being Owen and Farrell.

I don't see there being any point in giving caps to people who'll be too old for the 2035 RWC. Just a waste of precious opportunities to get caps into young players.

Here's a depressing fact. He'll only be 34 when the 2035 rwc kicks off... not over the hill for a hooker if he's stayed in shape...

Damn, that's how old I am now, ffs! I guess this is how Banquo and Dorset felt at the '91 world cup...

And I’m not even sure about that ... Ludlam is definitely self isolating at the moment. I’d assume Curry is too, but that means Ludlam doesn’t even have that ‘advantage’ right now.
Seriously, why do we even try with jngf on this? I’m never quite sure whether he’s trolling to spark a debate or just on another planet.

Reminds me of the old england centre debates of 2009 to 2011 on the old rugby rebels forum. Tait vs Clark vs Allen vs Flutey vs Hape vs Erinle. Simpler times.

I was 43. 14 years on this board now. Bring back Worsley v Moody.

Mako, George, Sinckler
Itoje, J Hill
Underhill, Willis, Curry
Stick with the first four we know work well together, bring in some extra set piece grunt in Hill though he's generally a nuisance around the pitch as well. Underhill, Willis and Curry are all action.
LCD, Genge, Stuart, T Hill, Vunipola
Plenty of extra mobility and physicality on the bench.

Surely that was never a question. You start Moody then when he knocks himself out you bring on Worsley.

Man I do wish John Clarke had been the player he looked in that one 4-minute highlight reel though.

The only who could have possibly broken the invincible Olly Barkley / Ollie Smith midfield

Allen/ Clarke could have been our Flatley/ Mortlock. What could have been. If only Geraghty Hipkiss kicked on. Some truly hilarious centre combos back in the day

Ah Ollie Smith, so close to going to 2003 RWC and then barely played for England again. Never really forgave Loffreda for forcing him out of Tigers.
