Nearly sneaky score...12 points not enough for dominance.

Haha. I guess your feed is ahead of mine. Reading that just as Joseph received the ball it definitely got a laugh.Banquo wrote:Shit from JJ
'Shittest kick of the game' is going to have quite a few contenders but that's definitely up there.

Apart from dumb pens and Faz’s errors a good half for us in the round.

HT Eng 12 - 0 Ire
Still a match due to 3 good scoring positions for Eng. coming to nowt, late on.Another half with Nil conceded, one supposes.

Pretty good, that will have taken a toll on the Irish bodies. I'd quite like to see that Lowe bloke put in his place.

We've been playing a bit too. Turnover ball in our 22 and we use it.
We're going for the breakdown, Billy has been good but can you imagine the field day we'd have with curry Willis Underhill.

Thinking back to how we were schooled at the breakdown in every Ireland match as little as 3 years ago makes me happy.

Re: Eng v. Ire - Match thread
Our back row is soo frustrating - Billy, slow fat and immobile this match, Curry too small to pick up the slack and is not a good enough carrier to play 6 - Underhill looks like he should be playing 6 and that one carry he did if it became more frequently done could point to a switch of role for him. Despite Jones’ guff about fielding the best pair of poaching flankers - Ireland allowed to endlessly recycle and if it wasn’t for their pants lineout and Johnny May celebrating coming out in style (ditto Daley!
) England would be hurting!

Aki has targeted Farrell at least twice with his bludgeoning. I wonder what the thinking is? Penalty from a high tackle perhaps? He's getting no joy out of it.

Can’t find any stats, but suspect Ireland have the edge in possession and territory.
Pleased with our scrum, both lineouts struggling.

Are you watching the same game? We have 4 jackal turnovers at least; Underhill is playing like a 6, bar hurtling at the first receiver, and Curry and Billy doing great shifts at the breakdown and outplaying bigger opposite numbers.jngf wrote:Our back row is soo frustrating - Billy, slow fat and immobile this match, Curry too small to pick up the slack and is not a good enough carrier to play 6 - Underhill looks like he should be playing 6 and that one carry he did if it became more frequently done could point to a switch of role for him.
