That's really not a good example of good play though, he tries his hardest to butcher that by passing far too early.

I more meant that era was his peak, rather than that try.

Beating a NZ side on the back of norovirus is akin to beating an u20s side. Also that game features one of the most inept tries scored ever with some very weird handling between Manu and Barritt, that try partially gets scored because our finishing is so inept NZ stand in the wrong places as they foolishly assume we know what we're doing.

I'd agree Barritt ran good lines in the sense he ran towards the correct end of the pitch, but frankly that isn't much different to Burgess.

Yeah, I think you're criminally underrating Barritt there. Note, I'm not claiming him as a great player, worthy of the ages, but he was a competent international 12 (and a dire 13) and a major part of Saracens' success. If 2012/13 era Brad Barritt were around now, then he'd be the England 12 while Tuilagi was injured.

They don't see much ball on the right wing since many "skillful" PL inside backs are not that good at passing left-to-right.

I think he might well have the England 12 shirt given the options and England management, but he was poor in attack at test level, he's behind Farrell on attack for me.

I'll admit to a certain bias I didn't want a slow boring South African in the England team

Which is why players like Nowell, Watson, Roko, Earle, Kibirigi, Solomona don’t score many tries.......
