Stick that Gustard you twunt
I just got so pissed at his direction at Quins. He was so obviously a terrible fit and the insane improvement since he left has felt like it's vindicated every negative opinion I had about the performances he was responsible for.

Great game. Marler has a wonderfully cynical Zen about him.
Please don't let Smith age into memory. He is a fantastic pivot. Can kick too.

Can we find any English ancestors for Tyrone Green?

Wonderful match!
Compare that with the dour stuff in Paris last night. I was delighted that Toulouse won, but this match was the complete opposite and confirms that the Premiership is far superior to the Top14!

Feck me that was a good game. Felt like Exeter started chasing the game, even when two points ahead. Some odd decisions on their part.
But more importantly quin's won playing attacking rugby with a belief that they could always score, from anywhere. The more positive team won and that can only be positive for rugby in general. Marler got motm but I loved Smith's performance. He has to be in the England mix now, don't understand why you wouldn't want to work with talent like that.

Absolutely. But I think some of the lesser mentioned players really helped lay the foundations. Chis, Lewies and Symons were very good and Louw is superb. A wonderful prop and the perfect counter point to Marlerswitchskier wrote:Feck me that was a good game. Felt like Exeter started chasing the game, even when two points ahead. Eddie simply cannot ignore Smith now, although if he does get picked, he'll probably find himself with you-know-who at inside centre, and any advantages of his selection will have been wasted.

Wonderful match. Great ebb and flow, great commitment and attitude from both sides.
Quins got their just desserts by never taking the easy option and simply going for it. More power to them. They have been great to watch.

Give him two centres that won't run a line like we gave Ford at watch the media turn.francoisfou wrote:Eddie simply cannot ignore Smith now, although if he does get picked, he'll probably find himself with you-know-who at inside centre, and any advantages of his selection will have been wasted.
Smith was excellent, must surely get capped this summer.

I've said it before and I'll say it again now: Marchant is just so, so important for this team. His attack is dangerous, but his defence is just as important. His positional play and decision making in that difficult 13 channel should not be underestimated. Personally I'd take him over Slade for England, but I am biased to be fair!
Another A++ game and advert for what rugby can be.

hmm think Quins did alright by the ref tbf.Stom wrote:But back to the game, Exeter do really rely on refs. They’re not on the line, they cross it every ruck but somehow rarely get pinged.
That’s the number 1 reason I’m not sure their forwards are international quality. Because they get pinged off the path with international refs
Quins were deserved winners.

Exe go up a gear when they bring Townsend on. I wonder if they might use him more as a starter next season.
And Smith. Well his time is now. He must play for England.

Smith is just fearless when it comes to deploying his talent. Let’s just hope England look to exploit that rather than suffocate it

Awesome match, both teams contributed, either side deserved it in my view, for the neutral it doesn’t get any better.
