Red was absolutely right, and I'm glad he didn't bottle it. But, it's let the air out.

Saints 1st try a brilliant training ground move, though Flats at least seemed to forget that Obano was replaced by Schoeman, who, as a fellow LHP does the LHP stuff. It's Alfie's job that isn't being done.

2nd try was a glorious bounce of the ball, which so far has favoured Saints (Gallagher would have loved such a friendly bounce, twice).

Bath will be pleased to claw one back, and tjen keep Saints out at the last. But will need to score first after the break if we're to make a game of this.

Agreed. Though it’s interesting that suspect we only notice these things when a player stays down . That sort of contact happens at most rucks I’d think.
Mitchell has been bang average, not responding well to being harassed by Spencer. Saints had their normal first 20 of nervous inaccuracy in a big match. They’ll be disappointed with that half.

Be interesting to see Saints tactics- their kicking needs to improve.

Saints kick then chase not good enough. V inaccurate all round.

Gives them a lot more pace but less physicality. Freeman changing position doesn't really change much but Hendy instead of Odendaal restricts Saints options to tighten up the Bath defence with those short lines and then try to get find the corner.
