Think he has a bit of development to do first but definitely got pace and size. Anyone got more highlights of this game?
Might make its way onto YouTube at some point.

He's more a Visser than a Seymour. Great athlete, not a rugby player yet. Think he's still got a year to run quims iirc.
Is this the official measure now?

I think it's a rather good definition tbh.

7-7 after 6 minutes. Referee doesn't like people trying to steal the ball.

Apparently Australia are 80kgs heavier in the pack!

But, but, but - the kiwi coach said that it was the NH who were obsessed with size, whilst the SH do'nt care about such things...

Wasn't that a pretty simple penalty kick? We should be ahead!

14-12 to the Aussies. Boys are competing well though.

We've missed 4 now. Could have a decent lead. Defending really well and look decent when we get it. Very good performance so far.

35-19 in the end. They tired a bit and Australia deserved the win but very creditable performance.

Big game against Wales now for 7th place. Few of the "stars" need to be a bit more consistent but I'd much rather that than them lacking talent. I think Hastings is a bit of an impact tackler rather than a consistent one. Like to fly out the line with dubious use of the arms and probs makes about 50%.

We were in a good position to win this. Poor execution from the prominent players when up 19-14 coughed up the game. And at any level above schoolboy you have got to kick from the tee better than that if you are going to win games.

The quality of play at times and Oz being clearly beatable makes it disappointing that we didn't execute when needed.

Time to revise this thread I think. Apparently they lost to Wales last night with Kinghorn playing at ten.

Aye. The boy has a lot to work on in defence.

Sure but who cares really? The kid has real attacking nous and the size to play. Defense is (apparently) coachable.

I think we often focus far too much on what players can't do than what they can. George Ford is no great defender, but he can be a genius little footballer. I think Kinghorn has bags of talent and will go on to do quite well.

I've been and still am big fan of his. We know what he can do in attack. But his defence has regressed. Hopefully just a blip.

It's almost as if he was playing in a completely different position.

Because at 15 he'll never be covering a chip and chase where it's harder not to make the tackle than actually make it?

Erm. You got me.

You don't expect me to have actually watched the game before commenting do you?

;-)

I wasn't meaning to be too down on the kid, but in hindsight and viewing the highlights of the game he does need to work on his defence.

Which is fine. Lots of players do but I hope it improves quickly because he could be Hoggs deputy from as early as the autumn.

Good try, duff conversion. 7-5 NZ. NZ have given away 4 penalties in the forwards already.
