Funny, but I can't get my head around there being a huge American high school in the Forest of Dean, when I know that the 2 towns acting as locations have a total population about the same size as the student population of the campus used (local knowledge really doesn't help the suspesion of disbelief). No problem with the 80s setting, but it being american (except for the accents and rugby balls instead of USfootballs) just seems weird to me, and keeps pulling me out.
Filmed in and around Newport too.
Caerleon at least, that'd be the university campus - University of Wales in Newport wasn't it? and maybe a couple of the houses, mostly though it seems to be Symmonds Yat, Chepstow, with Puzzlewood & other rural FoD locations
I saw one scene which was filmed from the old railway bridge in Tintern.

It appears quite a lot - but I was kinda counting Tintern as counting under Chepstow / Forest of Dean

Season 2 I had thought was a bit weak on first viewing, as I think many did- because it changed so much, but it's absolutely banging so far.
Well now who doesn't love endlessly raving about the wire

Agree on season 2 thought it was weakest first time out and might think it's the best now - Frank sabotka is an outstanding character, one of the best across the whole series

The new series of Better Call Saul is good, I also downloaded Stockholm Requiem which is done by Walter presents available on All4, that was good if you like Scandi Noir.

Started watching The Righteous Gemstones. Quite funny, it aims to do something similar to Succession but it isn't as well written. Not a single sympathetic character in it, but you're hooked into watching to see just how awful they are going to be. Would recommend.

I've been watching this too, it's quite entertaining, if you like this I would suggest Vice Principals which also has Danny McBride and Walton Goggins in it.

Really enjoying The Righteous Gemstones. Thought the story went a bit weird until I realised I missed an episode and watched two others out of their intended order.

Series three of Ozark is due on 27th March, I've been re-watching the 2nd series to get up to speed, I'm quite looking forward to it.

Westworld series 3 has just started on SKY Atlantic, there's a lot to it but worth investing in imo.

The Goldbergs is a fantastic sitcom. Loving it. Nothing deep or meaningful, just continuous, daft and very well observed.

Just discovered that I've missed Altered Carbon, Season 2 - is it worth it? Or does the complete change not work?

Westworld, Season 3 is currently airing - I'll wait for it to finish and binge

Killing Eve, Season 3 airs April 12th: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-ente ... 30836.html

What we do in the Shadows, Season 2 airs April 15th: https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/what-we-do ... on-2-news/

Last Kingdom, Season 4 airs April 26th: https://www.radiotimes.com/news/on-dema ... -season-4/

The Boys, season 2 is due for release this summer:
https://www.gamesradar.com/uk/the-boys- ... er-images/
Year of the Rabbit, season 2 likely later this year: https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/07/16/y ... channel-4/
Jack Ryan, Season 3 likely later this year - not sure I'll bother after S02 though

Of course, those due further put will likely be disrupted by COVID19 - I suspect that post-production stuff can largely be done remotely, if taking a little longer, but no reshoots.
Anything still shooting will be on hiatus

The Joe Exotic documentary series is entertaining.

Robert Kennedy for President is a good watch, it makes you wonder where the decency has gone in comparison to politicians these days.

"The Last Dance" on Netflix is very good. Observational, based on face to face interviews, about the characters involved in the rise of the Chicago Bulls 91 - 98. Obviously centered around MJ, and I think it may be produced by his production company leading to claims it's a puff piece? He isn't coming out of it that well, so if it's meant to be a puff piece, it coulda been done a lot better. But very very interesting, even to someone who wasn't that into basketball or Air Jordans or any of that bollox back in the 90s.

I've seen this and it looks quite interesting Jordan, Pippen and Rodman are the main focus by the looks of it, it's a bit later than when I was into basketball which was when the Lakers were dominant in the days of Kareem, Magic Johnson et al.

rodman and pippen aren't the focus it's not great and if not for the old footage of games would not be worth a watch imo, couldnt say its a puff piece in fairness, not much warmth for the guy after seeing it

Fell away toward the end, the way it's edited together made it difficult to follow.

Still I thought it was an interesting dissection of elite athletes and what makes them tick.

I finally got around to watching The People Versus O J Simpson, I enjoyed it, not sure how David Schwimmer was nominated for an award for it, he is as wooden as they come.

Don't be too down on Schwimmer. He plays the cunt quite well.
Billy Zane also.

I've been watching a few war movies recently.........someone has to play the baddie.
