Re: Solly's Soul Destroyers
This post may contain typos as I've just tried to gouge my eyes out watching Edinburghs attack. I don't think that they got on the outside shoulder one single time in that game or even tried to.
Is there anyone that lives in Edinburgh and can go along to training and see if they ever actually practice attacking?

Guy on the Edinburgh board says they do some shite unopposed move then stand around for 5 mins then do another.switchskier wrote:This post may contain typos as I've just tried to gouge my eyes out watching Edinburghs attack. I don't even think you can blame Solomons anymore. He gets given 1 year contract after contract. Is this the SRU or is it Petrie? Someone needs to be held accountable.
No amount of on-pitch personnel will fix this.

Aye, and while Glasgow replace Toony with Rennie, we'll probably end up with Duncan Hodge.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:I don't even think you can blame Solomons anymore. He gets given 1 year contract after contract. Is this the SRU or is it Petrie? Someone needs to be held accountable.

He is being given contract after contract. What do you expect him to do? The guy is clearly not the answer but continues to have his employment renewed. Whoever is responsible for that is to blame.hp18 wrote:hugh_woatmeigh wrote:I don't even think you can blame Solomons anymore. He gets given 1 year contract after contract. Some poor Fijian lock has confused Embra with Glasgow.

He shouldn't be under contract, but he's still fecking useless. Has not improved in any respect in 3 years.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:He is being given contract after contract. Can't remember him specifically but he sounds promising. On paper Edinburgh's squad isn't as dire as it has been for the last whileOptimisticJock wrote:Some poor Fijian lock has confused Embra with Glasgow.

Don't think you could justify a Rennie type salary for a development side.Chunks Baws wrote:Aye, and while Glasgow replace Toony with Rennie, we'll probably end up with Duncan Hodge.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:I don't even think you can blame Solomons anymore. We are that pish there is no comeback whatsoever. I cringe when folk go on about us holding the 1872 Cup. It's fuck all consolation for being so far behind Glasgow.

It's a meaningless cup as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather Glasgow's recent success.OptimisticJock wrote:Won more silverware than Glasgow last season.Chunks Baws wrote:ARM wrote:

They succeed at being a fuck of a lot better than us. We are miles behind them. A pishy cup doesn't make up for that.

You can roll your eyes at that all you want but they're just the first losing team in the league and still haven't got out of a euro group stage.
You also need to stop taking digs at weegies so seriously. You're not even a weegie fan FFS.

Yes, I'm sitting here raging. I'm away to watch us lift the highly coveted 1872 cup again to help me calm down.
