Will there be an announcement re additional call ups? I know Bradbury trains but with Hardie and Strauss now ruled out you'd think there would be something official.

Waiting for this weekends games? Would be leaving it a bit late I guess. Sounds like Denton and CDP were shocking at the weekend, incidentally.

I read Denton did fine out of position.

CdP was poor at the weekend.

I heard Dents was fine too. Probably in the same place as you mind.

Interestingly enough, Wilson was the most effective 8 at the weekend. Topping the metre count of the 6 of them.

Whoever comes in should be riding pine. I'd personally pick Denton or Bradbury.

Denton's had precious little game time but somebody has to come in. Might be Hobson's choice!

The other option would be Harley but don't think he fits the current game plan. Probably the best tackler but not an impact player. Actually thought that Ritchie was the best of the pro-teams backrows last weekend but that's not saying much. Swinson or Brown to cover and bring in another lock?

Just want to clarify, I only read on the Bath/Bristol match thread (and CDP on here) that the Bath forum were very unhappy with the game and particularly Denton. I may have misread it and I'm more than happy to hear he did well.

Stumbled on to his twitter and found this, kind of reminded me why he was so handy for a while and I think the rest of the team have developed a bit since then.

I'd be interested to see how his offloading game fits in with our current attacking mindset if he is still capable. He always seemed to flirt on the line of passing it forwards but it seems the NH have given up on calling forward passes in an attempt to catch up with the SH and all their glorious try-scoring.

It would at least give our bench somebody that England may be a little scared of. I definitely want to see more of Bradbury but I'm not sure when is the right time. Would take either ahead of the risk of Hardie.

What are the ideal results for us this weekend? Scotland and welsh win I think. France or Italy, shouldn't matter too much but if Italy play Well against France, they are less likely to play well against us. No bonus points for England for England would be an amazing and perfect result.

However I would probably be expecting an Irish and English win

Reality England and Irish win

Scotland get a lbp but Wales don't.

France beat Italy by 15

Hope
We actually turn up and run the wide channels, England are pretty bad at scoring tries but will grind us down like France did.

If England and Ireland win England win the championship a week early.

Not sure I understand that last sentence. Surely Ireland would still be in it then?

Not Mathematically.
England on 13 right now,
Ireland on 10

if they both win England 17(18), Ireland 14(15). and if Ireland wins in Dublin:

If Ireland win with Bonus and England don't get it. Ireland 19 (20)- England 17(18)
If Ireland win with Bonus and England trail with 2 bonus points England- 19 (20) , Ireland 19 (20): I don't know who wins
If Ireland win with bonus but England gets 1: Ireland 19(20) England 18-(19)
If Ireland win without Bonus point and England don't get it: Ireland 18(19) England 17(18).

It would be amazing for us to be in it on the last weekend. It's been such a long time as well. I don't see us putting a massive score on Italy in the last week, although BP is achievable. We would really need Ireland to lose this weekend and Smash England the week after. It also requires us beating England which seems very hard to believe in.

If the Wales that played us turn up at the weekend then Ireland will stick a BP on them.

If Ireland stick a bonus point on Wales this weekend. it takes them up to 15 Points.

If England tonk us:
England 18
Ireland 15
France 10 points (assuming they win with BP)
Scotland 9 Points
Wales points
Italy 0 Points.

If England win denying us the bonus point
England 17
Ireland 15
France 10 points (assuming they win with BP)
Scotland 9 Points
Wales points
Italy 0 Points.

If England win + bonus and we get two Bonus points

England 18
Ireland 15
Scotland 11 Points
France 10 points (assuming they win with BP)
Wales points
Italy 0 Points.

If England win and we get 1 Bonus point

England 17
Ireland 15
France 10 points (assuming they win with BP)//Scotland 10 Points
Wales points
Italy 0 Points.

If England win and we get 2 Bonus point

England 17
Ireland 15
Scotland 11 Points
France 10 points (assuming they win with BP)
Wales points
Italy 0 Points.

None of these scenarios allow us to compete for the title and make second place very hard to reach (we would need two bonus points).

Just shank them. Scots to win with a BP.

Apologies, meant to say if England win and ireland lose

Was on my phone at the time.

Cant see England spanking us, it will be close for 70 mins with whoever gets a try winning it. England attack isnt great, removing the Italy game they have scored
1 try against Wales
1 try against France

England will try and keep possession put us under pressure and kick the points, unfortunatly i think this is where they will win because after 60 - 70 mins of hard rugby i think we will have a couple of guys injured and will be hoping for a game changing moment

Id love us to win i just dont think it will happen

That's what I would expect, but couldn't find it written anywhere.

Might even be try BPs.

In the European cup, I think that "the team that beat the direct competition would pass through".
