Also has North actually done anything good? Even with two tries. He bumped Kearney I guess, but my mum could probably do that.

Hahaha, steady on Mike. In fairness to North he still had a bit of work to do for his first, it was a good finish.

Terrible miss that.
I'm not sure either side are playing well. It's physical and individuals are playing well but not sure the teams are if that makes sense.

Yeah, it's a bit weird, neither of these teams really look like they did when we played them. Odd game. Good game, but odd.

He doesn't look the same player at all. Big shame for the Lions as there aren't many great options there and he seems to be a good leader.

Agreed, also, it's worth noting, a lot of the time it's not the hooker that fucks it at the lineout, it's the jumpers and lifters, but fuds like me instinctively blame the guy that's throwing it.

Wales have defended well but fuck me Ireland have been poor.
How many dropped balls, crap passes etc.
No hint of an offload out the tackle etc.

If Italy and France play that exact match tomorrow there'd be comments about lots of effort but poor quality.

Yeah, Ireland also kicked way too much ball in attack I felt. Particularly mid way through the second half.

They commentators were talking about a humdinger of a test match. Load of shite. It wasn't very good.

First half was good, second half a bit shit when I realized that Ireland couldnae score

Wouldn't take any of the Irish outside backs on the Lions. They were crying out for a Stuart Hogg type to break down the Welsh defence. Refusal to offload makes it difficult for them when they come up against good line speed.
Great props, back row and halfbacks (when fit) but outside of that...

Agreed. Verging on cripple fight as mutual awfulness virtually cancelled each other out.
Or perhaps it was Wales and Ireland not profiting from their usual "street-wisdom"?
Aside from the maul penalty (which was correct) Barnes opted out of reffing the breakdown. No choke tackles effected as it was allowed to progress until it was a tackle. Not rolling away wasn't penalised but then neither was holding on in the tackle. In the end they had to find a rugby playing way to win the game and as a result looked shockingly devoid of ideas beyond Plan A1.
Annoyingly yet utterly predictable, was Jiffy's hyping anything a Lions candidate did to raise their standing. North's try was "outstanding, great play....just great play" ad infinitum. Hogg, Seymour and Visser would equally of scored and likely without a hand beng laid on them. That, of course, would have been poor defending though.
Gast was well and truly flabberred that Webb got MoTM instead of North. Perhaps Davies felt the wingers place to NZ was now secure so gave Webb the extra credit?

I thought that Sexton was feigning injury at one point. Perhaps I'm being unfare because he did go off for an HIA but there seemed a bit of dramatics thrown in

A bit of dramatics? He knew exactly what he was doing. Prick.
I'm also confused about all the creaming over the game. I thought it was shite.
Irish fans are taking the loss with the same grace as they took the loss to us. It's all Wayne Barnes fault apparently.

Ireland need to get real. There are too many weak links in that team. When it clicks though... they're a hell of a 15 playing as a unit.

Ireland's attack was very disappointing. Every year Ive waited for them to bring the flair Leinster had under Schmidt but it's not come yet

I read somewhere that H'penny's performance put in him back in the Lion's fold. I half expected this kind of comment but it still came as a bit of a surprise. I thought his game is still lacking something and he is not the player he was a couple of years ago. Didn't make much of an impression running with the ball and for the second match in a row dropped an absolute sitter of a catch. If it were up to me L Williams would be 15.

Halfpenny looks completely lost running with the ball, for George try in the corner halfpenny had the edge but passed to early and George had a lot to do to get the ball down.
Doesn't even get on the plane for me.
