I think it is partly a game plan issue and partly second international season blues.
The Scottish game plan when involving 15 relies on the full back being Stuart Hogg doing Stuart Hogg things.
Also why I believe Hastings could be better for Scotland in the long run despite being half of the player that Russell is. Hastings is much more likely to build up the phases as he doesn't have the ability to try some 50/50 magic on the second phase.
Our game plan relies too much on individual brilliant moments and it isn't healthy.

Either 1 or both of us have a very distinct bias when it comes to Kinghorn.
Probably you. I didn't say he was bad. Just average. Doesn't make the 23 for me.
Haha. Yes mate that's how bias work. You never think it's you.
You just seem to comment quite negatively on him quite frequently.
Whereas I think he looks so assured and natural with the ball I just feel we need to find a way to get him more consistently involved (as Switch alluded to) because he creates things in that 13 channel that nobody else seems to be doing right now.
That's not even me saying I'd start him, but I feel like I'd almost rather have him at 13 than Taylor right now.
...not sure why he's taking kick-offs though.

Get them both off. Put Nel on the wing.

Also if Dell doesn't recover isn't Reid going to be playing a shit-load?

So Horne to the wing? I'd have gone for the full reshuffle, Kinghorn to wing, Hastings to fullback, Horne to ten and close the game out.

I suppose the real question is, if Hogg picks up a knock in training do you pick Kinghorn at 15 or do you look to slot in someone else (Maitland, Graham or Hastings)?

Anyone? Do we know if Dell is fit or what?

To be honest, I'd rather have that checked and chalked off for the forward pass and get the good fortune in the next game.

Why on earth would you put McInally on now?

That is a try for any New Zealander 100 times out of 100. Forward momentum and all that.
Nel's pass really was the highlight of that passage though, closely followed by Taylor throwing a dummy switch and falling on his face.

I didn't understand Barnes' comment about the ball's flight as we are always told forward momentum. That was 'All Blacks flat'.

I heard on the radio that he’s supposed to be pretty much fine, but they decided not to chance it.

Yep. I've even watched Barnes himself do a demo explaining how often when the passer gets knocked backwards it can be really misleading.
Not sure why we've brought McInally and Harris on.

Commentators really getting carried away with how good this is from Scotland. Some really terrible passing in that passage but seems like we got away with it.
Also thought McInally was in touch. I'm just scared watching him go into contact now.

Same again. We're practically unopposed at this point and still not executing these scores.

that's another 'AB flat' pass

BOD spot-on with the forward passes. Horne 4th legit, Hastings 3rd rightly called forward.
Poogash really, really struggling to understand the physics of this.

Let the position function of that object be given by x(t). This is an arbitrary non-linear function. its kinetic energy is given by 12m[x′(t)]2. given a time interval [t1,t2], the action of this object is the time integral of its Lagrangian (its kinetic energy in this case) from t1 to t2:
action=S=∫t2t112m[x′(t)]2dt.
If the object moved in a uniform motion along x(t2)−x(t1) in the interval [t1,t2] then its velocity is simply given by the average velocity: total distance by time :
vaverage=x(t2)−x(t1)t2−t1.
Then just project onto the forward axis.

Delighted with that. Obviously some mistakes but very nice to pull a team apart. Would have liked to have got the biggest win of the tournament but can't complain and no injuries!

So if the game gets called off and each team awarded 2 points that's us out..

So where can I watch the second half guys? Any ideas? I don't see anything on the ITV player for games in the past.
Sounds like they really went through the gears. My opinion isn't worth much having only seen one half but based on the first half alone - we wouldn't have scored any of those tries against Japan. They were moments of individual brilliance/pace and were not really well worked tries even though they were beautiful to watch. Japan won't let someone glide through their 5m defence, nor will they throw many intercepts or get outpaced to a bouncing ball after a kick through. They will be a totally different kettle of fish.
