As well as the Force, there will apparently be sides from Hawaii and HK. Singapore, Malaysia and Fiji are said to be “likely.”

And both NZ and Australia have confirmed that there will be no new sides from them.

I really do like the idea of this, but I'm just not sure where the players are supposed to come from. Even if you entered the national sides of HK, Singapore, and Malaysia, they'd get horsed by Force.

Totally. If someone wants to bankroll Tier 2/3 engagement and development, I’m all for it. But in reality, these teams are going to be filled with imports from where exactly? I suppose a wholesale raid on the Mitre 10 Cup is a possibility. And there’s a whole level of Pacific players playing in Tier 2/3 European countries who might prefer a warmer climate.

I do. It's a really good opportunity for the game to expand in Asia, that has been presented solely by Forrest being a weirdo who wants to chuck his money at it, and might soon be banjaxed by Forrest being a weirdo. I'll be pleased if it actually comes to anything.

What I don’t get about people who love rugby so much they want to bankroll a whole new league, is the first thing they try to do is change the laws so it’s a different game. If you want a different game, go and start your own sport.
