Good result, done Glasgow a massive favour. They could do with Cardiff winning theirs too.

Down 6-13 with fifteen to go.

Leading a charmed life for a lot of that Embra.

Our kicking game is horse shit, and there were way, way, way too many individual errors in that, it just murders momentum.

Still. Good results across the board this weekend.

Couldn't help thinking that Thomas only needed to nail one of those four kicks.

Fine weekend for Scottish rugby.

They've done it! If they hold on for another 5 mins or so... Cannot believe Cardiff pissed Patchell around so much to want to leave for the Scarlets lol. Great player.

Job done. Patchell wanted to be the ten of choice, but putting our best XV on the park meant he had to play at 15 sometimes.

Decent weekends work for all the sides.

On well discussed note. Stevie Scott hosts several coaching clinics and last week he did a scrimmaging one. Our senior forwards attended, I managed to catch up with a couple on Saturday. SS confirmed they coach the hooker not to hook. The expectation is that the hooker will be able to use his knee if need be. This is because:
1. The 9 is expected to feed and the ref expected not to pick it up.
2. Allows more of a shove, the second rows are using both shoulders to shove, 1 on the prop and 1 on the hooker. Traditionally there would be no deliberate shove on the hooker.

Tonks is off to the Not Nots. He's no big loss.

What's with the gathering of "scots" there?

No idea but we'll see London Scottish v London Irish Scottish next season the way things are going.

London Irish are already gone. Tonks probably knows that. I mean him no disrespect as he's a decent, solid player but the championship is his level. He'll do well down there.

Some "big news" coming according to the Edinburgh twitter. Hopefully some decent signings.

Unless there was a big sum of money involved I think letting Tonks go now 16 months early rather than in the summer 12 months early is a mistake.

Whilst pretty average he is still back up FB and 3rd choice 10. If they are pretending to want to get top 6 then 4 wins out of 6 is the minimum required and I think the squad will need to be used wisely.

Dell and Berghan have re-signed. Not exactly "big news".

Another signing is due to be announced soon.

Hardly big news but important none the less. I expect Berghan to take the back up TH role next year and keeps the FR stocks very reasonable.

Dell for 2 and Berghan for 1 year.

Ford has re-signed for 3 years.

Ford for 3 years

Lack of ambition from Ford but he is clearly happy there and he is probabbly one of a few players who have improved under Solly

True. I'm just getting impatient for new signings.

Ford effectively signs up to end his career at Edinburgh with a 3 year extension.

Hopefully at some point he will move into the mentor/back up role.
