I’m going to have to change my fantasy team now.

Apart from Rowe the backs are as expected. I’d loved to have seen Horne start but Townsend just seems to prefer him as a sub. I’m surprised Dempsey isn’t starting but he should make a good impact off the bench. The props maybe not so much. I wouldn’t be surprised if the starting props get at least 70 minutes (barring injuries and a card for Fagerson for doing something really daft). With Crosbie and Ritchie both being capable in the lineout we’ll have four jumpers. I hope we seriously improve our lineout stats, our lineout always seems to be flakey.

Yeah I was surprised by this too, particularly as all 3 of those centres seem in great form anyway. Nothing against Rowe and hope he goes well, but I’d not even realised he was in equation as a fullback.

Not many surprises there. Kinghorn ia a big blow and no options who are regulars there so okay with Rowe. Did he not play 15 a bit for LI or are people making that up?

Backrow is okay, same as last year I think. I think people have been very quick to write off Ritchie. He's lost the captaincy as he is not a guarantees starter due to competition and the desire to change the balance of the backrow if necessary. They haven't just decided he's terrible. I would have been surprised if Christie had started ahead of him.

Overall, a weakened team due to injury to some of our best players but still fairly happy with it.

I am a bit surprised that Christie isn't in. He's been in fantastic form and part of me would have liked to have seen it rewarded.

However I'm really pleased to see Cummings back as think he will add some much needed dynamism to the second row.

No Kinghorn is a big blow and intrigued that Rowe is at 15. But isnt it lovely to have actual options all of a sudden and competition for places?

The problem is that while there are positions which are very competitive (back row, scrum half, centres in particular) there are others, especially props and full back, where we are very threadbare. If Jones and Tuipolotu were both unavailable we could still put out a very strong centre pairing from Redpath, McDowell and Hutchison but if Schoeman and Fagerson weren’t available we’d be screwed.

Possibly off the bench, and he might have covered for Glasgow but only pro start there was in the Rainbow cup.

Just shows how much balls people on the internet talk! Definitely some posters on other sites talking up him as a regular at 15 for LI. I'm also curious how much some of the people bigging up Christie have seen him play - not that I have anything against him, just cautious about the new flavour of the month always being better than the last one.

17 games on wing and 6 in the 23 shirt apparently. No idea if he covered 15 but wasn't starting there.

First 20 has gone ok, I do feel like we're living off of Wales inexperience rather than our abilities but still and all, another 60 minutes like this will do

... one or two flashes of brilliance but also mistakes born of arrogance. A better Welsh team would be making him pay.

Must be.

Kicking game well on top. Taking what the opposition have given us. Line out going fairly well and defence having no issues.

One dodgy passage where he put Rowe in trouble but he's putting Scotland in good positions around the pitch.

He's done lots of very very good stuff, no question. For me, all that good stuff doesn't excuse the mistakes.

Our half backs have controlled the game.and taken their crowd out the game. Leading to as easy a half at an away game we've had against anyone in a long time in the 6N.
