Must be honest that when I read Gatlands comments about 'courageous Wales' etc, how pleased he was with the last 20 minutes and that he's learned a lot about the players. No shit Warren, then apply it and let your players play to their strengths!

Exactly - we had a nap for 20 minutes then were revived for the last 20 and so finished looking strong for once. But, Sam, I'm afraid that does not equate to competing for 80 minutes.

Yep. McBryde - why? How can Gatland possibly be satisfied with his coaching? For god's sake, even if McBryde cannot be removed for some reason, get a lineout consultant/expert in for a year to give us a clue.

It's not that our lineout is always hopeless - we do get the occasional game where it functions reliably. But much more often it fails us when we need it most. And we're hopeless at competing at the opposition's throw-in, how many steals do we ever get?

Totally agree - Liam was superb. The disparity between him and all the remaining wingers in the squad is immense. Call me crazy, but I'd be tempted to put Scott Williams on the wing instead of Amos next week.

Patchell put in a v good performance.

I'm not always a fan of Foxy, but that hand-off at the end for his try - majestic!

In general (well for about 3/4 of the match) we were very good, and our intensity in the first half was impressive. But if we can't keep it up for 80 minutes, then Gatland still ain't doing his job properly. The number of tackles we missed in about 3 seconds for Smith's try was dispiriting, but these things happen. What we can't do is collapse for 15 minutes following such an event. We need to reset like nothing happened - NOT let another fecking try in a minute later. Until we can do that we can't compete with these guys. Oh yeah and it was pretty telling that Warburton's excellent interception led to nothing - if any of the ABs had got such a chance it would have been another 7 points.

In the pre tour warm up game v. England he was outsprinted by backrower Clifford who ran in a try from the halfway line.

Amos is one of those players who looks very good at club / regional level against most opposition. Looks good at international level against average teams. But against the very best he looks off the pace. Mental pace as well as physical pace. He does have those boyish good looks going for him mind.

He's your Jack Nowell if, from what I've little seen, a little bit less industrious. Cleverly created the overlap for your first (?) try in the first test, mind. I think he'll be a solid if never spectacular international.

He has got a far better footballing head than many of our other wingers. I think perhaps he is still a bit tentative at international level,but Gatlands point about his lack of pace for a winger is a fair one.

He's still very young mind. I'm sure he will develop into a decent player at test level.

I agree Gatland's point is fair. I agree he is a bit tentative. But if you want an international career you have to learn fast. I thought he had a lot of potential but now start to doubt this.
