My dislike of the idea. It just makes me worry that we don't think he's totally okay and this is putting a dodgy plaster on a very serious wound.Cameo wrote:The scrum cap or you not liking it?Mikey Brown wrote:I really dont like the sound of that scrum-cap idea. Is that irrational?
I think (though I could be wrong) that studies say a Scrum cap won't reduce concussion but I can understand why Russel might want it if he also broke a bone in his face.
Incidentally I think one of the downsides is meant to be that they make you more reckless but not sure that applies to Russell as he is already fairly reckless with his body

Yeah - saw that, but can't bring myself to watch it. Although I probably will as I've got a flyer today and will be suitably lubricated not to really notice how grim it is by then.Stones of granite wrote:No. We're getting another episode of the Benny Hill Show Edinburgh v someoneGeneral Zod wrote:Is this on tv tonight?

Think Glasgow have a tough game, having seen the teams. Will be impressed if they win.

Strange to have us all in agreement on the scrumcaps.
There's a few special types on here I've no doubt would argue.OptimisticJock wrote:Fixed that for you.hp18 wrote: That's every day for baz.

You can't argue with medicine. Well you can I suppose but then you end up like those anti-vaccine dafties.
Never wore one either, it was far to difficult for me to appreciate the sound of my own voice with it on. That and the only time I found myself in something as uneducated as a ruck was when one of you lot would lumber up 10 minutes too late for it and "accidentally" blast me into it just as I got my hands on the ball.General Zod wrote:I wore one a few times in second row but found I was usually re-adjusting it while running, etc after a scrum. Tape, a number one crew cut and being too slow to get to rucks generally did the job.
Surprised they could crouch that low.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:Never wore one either, it was far to difficult for me to appreciate the sound of my own voice with it on. Indeed, I suspect most of the time they tripped over their own arms trying to heave their knuckles off the ground.hp18 wrote:Surprised they could crouch that low.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:Never wore one either, it was far to difficult for me to appreciate the sound of my own voice with it on.
