You seem to have a very predetermined narrative Vengeful Mutton. Are you perhaps on the spectrum?

Funny how those who dismissed my condemnations of Obama's devastating wars as 'anti-American' are now queueing up for pot shots at Trump. So who's 'anti-American' now?

I couldn't be more delighted at how this has turned out so far. People are angry at the American government again, and at least some of them due to issues Obama himself was also responsible for (international tensions, bombing lots of people, breaking promises, etc). But he (Obama) had nice daughters and could dance really well, so that was 'different' . . .

Internet warriors, professional contrarians, beta males, kiwi dairy farmers, and ashley judd don't really count though, do they?

In the long run, it's the market that matters.

Wow, Donald just effectively banned refugees from all the countries Barack and Hillary bombed (plus Iran)! Coincidence?

Trump Irak, Suriye, Yemen, İran, Sudan, Somali ve Libyalı mültecilerin Amerika’ya girişine ilk etapta 120 günlük yasak getirdi.

& the people who said nothing about the bombings are now up in arms about the bans...

The ACLU is filing a class-action suit against the White House, and the executive order itself is likely in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, signed by LBJ.

Aside from that, this has pretty much given the extremists quite a shot in the arm when they needed it.

As Rowan points out, none of the countries of origin for any terrorists known to have committed acts in the US are on that list. He has also stated priority is to be given to refugee applicants of "christian and minority faiths".

He could have a First Amendment issue on his (tiny) hands here. Not the smoothest executive order ever seen...

The irony of that will have completely missed the daft Cnut.

Seeing so much chat on twitter, from respectable journos and politicians, about this ban in muslims. Wouldn't be surprised to see it blow up in Trumps face and the way things are looking he might take May down with him. On reading that back I realize it might be considered a poor choice of words, but you get my drift.

Is that because of May not criticising the order when questioned by journos?

The whole Trump/May thing looks about as desperate as you can get from a British perspective. Begging for trade and that special relationship at the same time as making a token comment about invading countries. I fucking bet the next time the US decide to drop bombs on somewhere, we'll be right there with them.

I wonder who's idea it was for Trump and May to hold hands at the press conference? Seems to me like an orchestrated effort by Trump's team to make it look like he's a 'gent' and not the woman hating monster that everyone else thinks he is.

Yeah shes getting some abuse for it, and not just the usual twitter psychos abuse.

Its one thing saying the usa internal politics is their own business, and it is, but its quite another to remain silent when british citizens, including serving UK MPs and well known faces like Mo Farah are being denied entry/travel due to having been born somewhere else.

Shes going to pay a heavy coin for wanting to set up a trade deal.

As to bombing somewhere new, I wouldnt be that sure, the backlash against Trump is such that any thoughtless following of his lead is going to get slammed domestically. I dont think he'll last that long as president anyway. I genuinely think he's just seeing what he can get away with before he finally gets binned.

I can't really imagine a situation where the UK PM is forced out as a result of that. It's not great publicity for sure, but I can't see it being terminal for her. It'll take a little spin and no doubt her 'cap in hand' Brexit trade tour could provide that.

Trump will be under massive pressure to rescind the order, and tbh, I can see him doing that, albeit it with some caveats. That way he'll be seen as more humanitarian at the same time as preserving an order of similar stature. Everybody wins.

They're not really legislation. From what I understand, executive orders govern how the federal government operates. Although they can get murky vis-à-vis law-making. They're also very common. Every post war president has issued hundreds of the things.

Righto. Looks like lawyers are going ape shit. Some even claiming it violates the constitution. They may want to change that if they want to continue with this ban, while they're there they can get rid of that rediculous bare to arms nonsense too

Britain really does look like a silly fucker in all this. Hat in hand to the USA, again. Desperate for a trade deal. Pretty sure Trump was all about buy American hire American, so I'm not sure how that'll work. May is now off to Turkey, you know the same Turkey that was used as a tool to make geriatric and gulliable mongs vote leave.

Still, my mates missus loves this whole Trump banning Muslims thing, hates em she does, no reason to other than the TV tells her to and her racist step father has drilled it into her, hes a cunt I'd live to deck. Shes a normal person but just so full of hate I just can't understand it. Its worrying.

Any advice on how I can deal with her would be appreciated. Tips n tricks like.
