You could have selected Parra as a kicker...

Yeah, what kind of idiot would do that?!

In your defence you did your due diligence. You just looked to the wrong source.

Puja’s question was who will kick out of Parra and Lopez.
I said I thought it would be Parra (which it was originally). I didn’t say he’d successfully kick any goals.

Only made a couple of mistakes selection wise. Overall happy. Anyone else notice it's much higher scoring?

Part from over selecting Irish players, I think I’ve had a decent week.
Skinner may be my only starter that scored less than double figures and that’s down to him playing only a small amount of the match.
I just wish I’d gone for May over Stockdale and Daly over JD2.

Scores seem way higher than in the Prem version. Thought I'd done superbly with 461, but that's only about 71% effective!

The scores aren’t crazily different. I had a very good first week with 579 points, but I’ve scored over 600 in the Premiership before.
The points distribution is pretty much the same too with the forwards scoring highly in comparison to backs unless they score tries.

Yeah, it might be because there were a few obvious high scorers everyone picked (Mako, hogg, one of Sinckler or furlong, Tipuric, Murray.
The teams who scored really well picked the right Scottish winger...

Yep. I dare say there wasn’t much variation in certain positions.
Kinghorn and Hogg as captain were good choices I made this week. No outright bad ones TBH. Skinner would have scored plenty more points had he not been injured early.
The only stupid thing I did do was to put Russell as kicker as I’d forgotten Laidlaw was the kicker, but that only cost me 3 points.

I started well last week but on top of the injuries to Itoje, Stander, Skinner and Fofana, Warren Gatland has royally f*cked me over with his 10 changes.
Of my 5 Welsh players, I have 1 starter and 1 on the bench.
Definitely having to drop points on transfers this week!

I'm hoping I can absorb that with who else I have in my squad, but it's going to be tight! Waiting to see how many changes Ireland make

Thanks Mr Gatland. I have problems this week. You clown.
But I'm not dropping points on transfers as they will be back next round. Its unlikely my bench hooker would score more than 20 anyway so its a false economy.

Indeed - that is the dilemma.
I forgot that I only had 28 in my squad so I can add a French and an Italian and make a transfer for one of the injured players without dropping points.

Yeah, my only negative from the last round was that I decided to transfer out Jonny May to keep my England players to 4 and give me flexibility.
Now means I've got a decision to make. Because I need a lock unless I want to pick Dean Budd (why did I pick him? I don't know), but I dunno who to pick elsewhere to make up for the losses of Tipuric and North. Plus I heard Fofana is injured, too! I might pick a couple of Italians this week.

Having 5 Italians in my 23 is not what I would have ideally gone for, but with Gatland trolling them by playing a B team, it might not actually be the worst thing to happen.
I’m waiting for France to publish their lineup as I need 1 from them and 1 Irishman. It’ll be a flanker and a lock so not sure who to go for at the moment. I’m tempted by O’Brien but he’s as likely to limp off early as he is to put in a stellar performance.

The French and Irish rotations have done for me. Henshaw being out is the problem!

I'm pretty ok, actually. Though now I have 29 players, which means I've only got space for a Scot...
Though next week will be better when the Welsh first XV are back.
I have an all blue bench, though!

Mine is a bit of a mongrel team but I’ve managed to get our what I think is a decent squad without needing to drop points.
With the exception of AWJ, my bench is blue too!

I've managed to scrape together most of a team. Four bench players are actually benching but suspect that's better than taking the 20 point hit.
My only question is which of itoje or skinner to replace. I can't find an update on when Skinner is likely to be back anywhere.

Yeah - I had a similar dilemma. With the way the games fall, I thought it was better to swap out Stander and hope Skinner is fit for round 3. I intend to swap Itoje next round once I know our lineup for Italy.

Skinner was an ankle injury and I figured that was likely to be a few weeks. I did a straight swap for Gray who - fitness permitting - will stay in the team.
All of my players bar AWJ are starters, but I also have Henshaw on my bench so that's one zero. I just don't think it's worth a 20 point hit to swap out a bench player

Managed to make a 23 with only two bench players on the bench, which I'm quite happy about. And those two are Kinghorn and Nowell, who I suspect will get a reasonable run anyway.
Trying to decide on captain is the difficult bit this week - last week I couldn't decide between Mako and Sinckler and in the end went for the latter (and left Mako out of the starting lineup, to boot!). With that quality of decision-making under my belt, I'm not sure if I should go for Sinckler again, hope Mako does a repeat, or go for someone outside the potentially high-scoring props and locks with Curry.
