Ian Richie in preserving the status quo shocker.

Apart from the obvious school bully attitude around finances, the attitude towards a global season is telling. Seems England Rugby are headed by a man entirely sure that England is the pinnacle of rugby aspiration and that everyone else should be grateful of the opportunity to play them.

Not a man who would seem keen to grow the game. I would be interested to hear his thoughts on an expanded 6 nations. I am guessing closed shop will describe them well.

All the tier 1 teams are crap when it comes to maintaining the status quo, and share a belief it's for the good of the game.

I'm not averse to there being moves to establish a fairer test calendar and greater sharing of revenues in the game. But I'm not for one moment interested in essentially keeping things as they are save sharing match day revenues from bigger stadiums with such as NZ.
