That'll be . . . . . . how much . . . ?

Talking to someone yesterday who told me that admission prices to Kingsholm for the new season , for visiting fans & non~season ticket holders is . . . . wait for it ... £42 . Now , is that right ? I no longer live in the City so the odd game I'd attend would cost me this much . Can anyone verify this and how does this compare to prices elsewhere . ? This would certainly be out of my money comfort zone an d would amount to theft by deception in the name of entertainment .

That's got to be for one the 'nicer' stands
No way they're charging that for the shed (well, probably no way)

The quality of accommodation will be a moot point if the fare on the pitch doesn't improve.
For comparison, Champ tickets for covered seating are £24ish at Bedford, Nottingham and the Yorkshire clubs.

Bath charge £40+ and that's even for the sh*ttier areas of a fairly sh*tty stadium. They go up to £60-odd for the better seats.

At least that's in a proper stadium though. No idea how Bath get away with charging what they do for sitting on open-air scaffolding.

''cause there aren't even many of those tiny crammed in seats (i'm 5'9'' and I think it's uncomfortable at Bath). though tbf who wouldn't want to go to Bath just as a two-fingered salute to those who've so delayed the new stadium there?

This better not be a trend Newcastle follow. It's hard enough to get people to games up here.

Any got recent figures on what sort of % of revenues the (various) AP clubs are taking in ticket sales?

Mind, I'm getting a bit annoyed about the stadium as time passes. There's no more legal battles for the old farts right now - as things stand, Bath have won. It's now been 8 months and we've heard precisely zilch. No news on how things will proceed, no public consultation over plans, no nothing. I'm hoping they're keeping their powder dry and are getting everything aligned so that they can blitzkrieg the planning department and have it agreed before anyone thinks up anything clever, but that is optimistic because no-one's saying anything about anything. It could just be that Craig's given up and decided to be satisfied with the extra scaffolding he's managed to wangle out of the council for all I know.
Very annoying - I moved to Bath 14 years ago and a new stadium was expected any day back then. I'd just like to go watch a local match and for it not to be an utterly horrible experience.

Glaws are mid table with ticket pricing, there is an amount of unrest on shedweb regarding the hikes this season but they are considerably lower still than bath and wuss, which is what many glos supporters consider the yard stick to be.....

Saints is around about that price for the corners, etc up to 60ish for good seats in the middle of Tetleys or Churchs stands.

For Sale, prices for a category A game range from £37.50 to £62, a cat b £35 to £59 and for a cat c £32 - £56.
Though on top of that you have to add on the physical and emotional cost of trying to get to the bloody stadium.

Thought I'd have a look at how different teams compare, best I can tell from a not super in depth look is that the highest and lowest prices for an adult to see a Premiership game are as follows:
Bath - £28-£54
Exeter - £26-£58.50
Gloucester - £20-£52
Harlequins - £29.50-£61
Leicester Tigers - £18-£60
London Irish - nothing published
Newcastle Falcons - £15-£45
Northampton Saints - £27-£46
Sale Sharks - £22-£62
Saracens - £28-£75
Wasps - £21-£55
Worcester £20-£44
Some of those are specifically advance prices and there's a mix of categorisation used by different clubs. Top price at Saints seems low, but that's what the website says is the price for an Adult Gold ticket to see them play Leicester; also Bath's spiel suggests tickets top out at £70, but that might be for top European games.
