Pau: Buros; Halai, Fumat, Stanley, Pourailly; Slade, Daubagna (capt); Moise, Rey, Adriaanse, Foley, Tutaia, Ramsay, Mowen, Butler.

Replacements: Bouchet, Hurou, Hamadache, Metz, Dougall, Lebail, Fajardo, Nicot.

Gloucester: Hudson; Purdy, Twelvetrees, Atkinson, Halaifonua; Williams, Braley; McAllister, Matu'u, Hohneck, Savage (capt), Denton; Polledri, Rowan, Clarke.

Replacements: Hanson, Rapava Ruskin, Denman, Ackermann, Ludlow, Vellacott, Burns, Trinder.

The European weekend starts here. Pau are mid table in the Pro14. i've absolutely no idea if this is anything like a full strength line up, or if like Gloucester, they have made some changes.

A lot made of Wasps short turn around for Europe games, but its the same for Glaws (albeit in a more tin pot cup competition)

Ackerman looking to test some fronge players and give them a chance to put a hand up. Interesting Braley over Vellacott for starting 9, Hudson and Polledri making first starts

As you say, tin pot competition. Academy and squad depth to be expected, so turnaround times are less important. It's still a pain, because all the weekly organisation is different, but how many of those starters were starting last week?

A tigers academy 13,14,15 i see.

Interested to see how Hudson goes had to retire from injury with Tigers a abit ago, spent a summer in kuala lumpur with Tigers partner club coaching came back and had a trail with glous and got given a development contract nive to see him playing to a high standard.

6 start tonight that also started against Saints, 5 on the bench who featured against Saints. 5 on the bench tonight that started against saints

Not available due to injury still stands as:-

Fraser Balmain, Gareth Evans, Lloyd Evans, Mariano Galarza, Tom Marshall, Ben Morgan, Ross Moriarty, Matt Scott, Charlie Sharples, Andy Symons, Ollie Thorley, Ed Slater, Jeremy Thrush

So yes a test of squad and academy, turnaround times from the point of view of injuries and recovery are equally as important regardless of cup competition hierarchy. Wasps can feel aggrieved that Ulster have had 2 days more recovery time, Pau on the other hand had the same (or a few hours less) than Glos so more of an even playing field in this instance.
