Groundbreaking journalism from new Zealand.

Post by canta_brian »

Thank goodness the Herald is able to bring us this sort of hugely important issue to our attention.

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/new ... d=11954580

"ZM radio hosts Fletch, Vaughan and Megan uncovered the hack that will give you a couple of decent breaks next year without having to part with too many annual leave days.

If you fancy ten days off using only four days of leave, here's how to do it:

Take annual leave for four days from Tuesday April 3 to Friday April 6 off after Easter Monday (April 2) - this will get you 10 days off in a row for only four leave days.

An alternative: To get a long weekend earlier than that, take one annual leave day on Monday, February 5, for a four-day weekend, taking advantage of Waitangi Day on February 6."

Feck me. Why have I not thought of this before. A Nobel Prize is a certainty.
