Pro 14 finals
Out now.
Emba travel to Thomond park for their game, surely no tougher game in club rugby, with winner to play Leinster in Dublin in the semi.
Cheetahs will travel to Llanelli, with the winner coming to Scotstoun for the semi.
I'd say Glasgow have fallen on their feet here

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

No disrespect meant to Scarlets or Cheetahs, but a home game against either of them is a very different prospect to facing Munster or Leinster away

Re: Pro 14 finals
Well I can’t see either team progressing, Glasgow are just so easy, lost some of the hard edge from the start of the season and even if ed do get a result next week then I can’t see them getting past Leinster.
Mind u what a kick in the nuts that would be to the pro14 if the final was in Ireland with the 2 favorites not there.

Glasgow have a decent chance, despite being a poor version of their previous selves.whatisthejava wrote:Well I can’t see either team progressing, Glasgow are just so easy, lost some of the hard edge from the start of the season and even if ed do get a result next week then I can’t see them getting past Leinster.

Glasgow may get to the final but won't beat Munster or Leinster.

Re: Pro 14 finals
If there is one team in the pro 14 that Munster cant bully its Edinburgh (well and Leinster) so although i dont think they will win its not beyond the possibility , scarlets did it last year and everyone thought they had no chance,
If Ed can meet Munster in the forwards and put Murray and their 10 under pressure then i think Munster wont have it all their own way, Murray is a class above but keep targeting the standing leg and he really doesnt like it
No point talking about Leinster until Sat at 5pm

Whilst I think that he's the best in the world can I just get my pre-emptive moan in that, once again, Nigel
Owens is reffing Munster in a high profile game.
We're doomed I tell you.

Re: Pro 14 finals
Teams are up. A little surprised that Bennett is straight back in but Cockerill obviously rates him. Delighted that SHC is starting and just realizing that Lay and Berghan are seemingly our first choice props. Who'd have called that at the start of the season and that the scrum would be pretty good?
That Munster backrow is intimidating.
Munster: S Zebo; A Conway, S Arnold, R Scannell, K Earls; JJ Hanrahan, C Murray; J Cronin, R Marshall, S Archer, J Kleyn, B Holland, P O'Mahony (capt), J O'Donoghue, CJ Stander.
Replacements: M Sherry, D Kilcoyne, C Parker, G Grobler, R Copeland, J Hart, I Keatley, D Sweetnam.
Edinburgh: B Kinghorn; D Fife, M Bennett, C Dean, D van der Merwe; J van der Walt, S Hidalgo-Clyne; J Lay, S McInally (capt), S Berghan, B Toolis, G Gilchrist, M Bradbury, J Ritchie, B Mata.
Replacements: N Cochrane, A Dell, WP Nel, L Carmichael, C du Preez, N Fowles, D Weir, J Johnstone.
Referee: Nigel Owens (WRU)

Has Ford upset Cockerill? He's been playing prem 1 for at least a month.

He isn’t the form Hooker by a fair stretch. Not sure, but think he may have been coming back from an injury. Not sure about you, but I’ve been pretty pleased with how our front row has been going.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Has Ford upset Cockerill? He's been playing prem 1 for at least a month.

I don't really think Cochrane and Ford are in the same league but sure, I take your point.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:He isn’t the form Hooker by a fair stretch. If Ulster get to the final will they have to have one of them police escorts while their fans march from Central Station?

It'll be an excuse for polis Scotland to use their horses.

It would make a pleasant post-match change for the weemins of Weegieville. To be sexually assaulted by a spide instead of beaten senseless by their home-grown Ned?

Sexual assault AND beaten senseless is fairly normal in Glasgow, sporting events add a hint of justification.SerjeantWildgoose wrote:It would make a pleasant post-match change for the weemins of Weegieville. To be sexually assaulted by a spide instead of beaten senseless by their home-grown Ned?

Ball was out of that Munner scrum. So it's fair game for SHC to go for it. Bad reffing from Nige.

Edinburgh could do with actually having an attack... Non existent.
Over committing men to the break down & are therefore outnumbered by defenders. So their already stodgy attack is even less effective today.

SHC back to usual. He needs to stop taking that stupid step before passing. Twice he's had the ball knocked out of his hands in promising positions.

1 because of a kick going through the middle of the ruck...hugh_woatmeigh wrote:SHC back to usual. He needs to stop taking that stupid step before passing. Twice he's had the ball knocked out of his hands in promising positions.
