Julian Savea to Toulon

Post by Lizard »

Apparently the Big Yellow Bus has seen the writing on the wall* and is off to Toulon before RWC2019.

*The writing says "Reiko Ioane & Ben Lam"

Hardly surprising given his drop off in form since 2015.

Also came across this the other day:

I'd forgotten just how crazy fast Rokocoko was scoring them from ~2003-2006.

That’s a great visualisation. Thanks. Old Roks really tailed off there at the end. 3 tries in his last 22 tests, compared to 21(!) in his first 14.

Savea was remarkably consistent with his try-scoring. Shame really, as he probably had another test hat trick or two in him.

What does Cullen's look like? Savea has given it away a bit imo; I remember having a debate about him being one of the greatest wings eva a couple of years back.........

27-years-old though. Wingers have a relatively brief shelf life - especially the hefty ones. If he wants to make some serious dough before he retires, now is the time.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

Can't be bothered adding in Lomu, Rokocoko, etc... tonight, but, if he were added to the table, his numbers would be:

Game #14: 14
Match #35: 30
Match #54: 46
Match #62: NA
