Yes, folks, even if you don't believe the archaeological evidence of a brief Vikings presence on the outskirts of Canada, it is a well-established fact that the Danes have had colonies on Greenland since about five centuries before Columbus sailed across the Atlantic, and that Greenland is very much a part of the Americas, being geographically closer (26km) than most of the Caribbean islands, with an underwater land bridge connecting it to the Canadian shelf, and an indigenous Native American (Inuit-Eskimo) community. They also play in the Pan American Handball Championships & have just finished hosting the tournament - won by Argentina.

The 2018 Pan American Men's Handball Championship was the 18th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. It was held from 16 to 24 June 2018 in Nuuk, Greenland. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship in Denmark and Germany, securing three vacancies for the World Championship.[1][2] Argentina won the tournament for the seventh time after defeating Brazil 29–24 in the final. http://www.wiki-zero.net/index.php?q=aH ...
